Le Caveau des Douceurs — Restaurant in Colmar-Ribeauvillé

I usually don’t expect so much from restaurant with short menus, but I really really liked the food from here. Absolutely splendid.

I did not have a starter/appetiser as I did not fancy anything from it. But I had a taste from what my parents had and what it was, tasted really good! There was a burrata with tomatoes, and also some beef dish, sadly I can’t remember.

My main dish was going to be a beef tagliata. It was phenomenal and honestly I don’t know why I didn’t expect it to be good but it was fantastic.

For desert I had a Black Forest sort of thing. Delicious.

I must say as well this is one of the few restaurants I can leave good marks on music choice! And the staff were lovely, they are accommodating and easy to understand.

The restaurant has a great atmosphere inside, really comfy seating.

My parents left good reviews of the wine so...

We are so glad we found this restaurant by chance. Not a big place with an excellent reputation that is full all the time. The service is attentive and courteous from the entrance to the exit. The menu is not big but all the dishes are excellent and we had a big dilemma what to order? We took snails in garlic as a starter and as mains duck with roasted root vegetables on a bed of sweet potato puree and fish with chocolate and strips of crispy bacon. All the dishes were excellent and made us regret not living near the restaurant. There is no doubt that the next time we come to the area we will include in our itinerary a meal or two at Le Caveau...

Après une balade dans ce joli village pendant la période de Noël bien fraîche, on était un peu gelés jusqu'au os et l'accueil chaleureux et l'ambiance cozy à conquit nos cœurs dès notre arrivée. On était 3, on a eu un coin banquette super confortable et réconfortant. Ils ont une façon intéressante de gérer l'arrivee des clients, qui permet de savoir s'ils pourront nous accueillir ou pas, avec des petites affiches désignant les places disponibles. Ce Restaurant est une vraie pépite, et on est heureux de l'avoir trouvé pour notre repas de midi. Service chaleureux, réactif, rapide, souriant, même avec la salle pleine.

On a pris du jambonneau et des pdt grenailles avec une petite sauce délicieuse, et on a pris un magret de canard délicieux aussi. Assiettes avec des portions généreuses, et le fondant de la viande, vraiment exceptionnel ! La bière ambré accompagnait très bien nos plats. Pour le dessert, le vacherin, la crème brûlée glacée et le profiterole à tomber. On a demandé une petite attention qui a été accueilli avec le sourire et satisfaite encore mieux qu'esperé.

Le gérant et les serveuses super souriants et sympas. Ça nous à fait chaud au cœur et requinqués pour affronter le froids qui nous attendait dehors. C sûr, on retournera avec plaisir !
