The hotel has two parts the main hotel and restaurant and the hotel rooms which are about 60 meters up a cobbled alley way. We had a top floor room which was more like a descent sized studio apartment with a good sized bathroom a sitting area and a nice comfortable bed. The room was cleaned to a high standard. There was also good storage and wardrobe space. When we arrived we where asked what time we would like breakfast as we are earlier risers we asked if it would be possible for 7am. We got a straight answer NO. The earliest would be 8am. So we went for our breafast a 8am and the lady seemed put out having to get up early there was no good morning greeting just a very frostie atmosphere. The next day we went for our breafast the restaurant was in darkness so we ended up going to a local shop for a coffee, We went back to the hotel at 8.30 and breafast was served in the same frostie manner. The breakfast was okay but nothing special. Parking is...
Read morestaff and the decent food/wine pulled it off just fine! I am referring to the local ladies who a) smoked by the doorway and did not budge one cm when we politely tried to get inside. b) the thoughtless woman eating nearby with her ageing dad who allowed her LOUD infant to SCREAM endlessly at ear-piercing volumes for at least an hour. Understand, i used to play in a loud rock band and know a thing or two about noise. But this was ridiculous. i felt for the staff, who seemed handcuffed to do anything, even a subtle comment. Bet you Dad was a local grape farmer bigwig! c) the arrogant dog owner who didn't raise a finger to move their pet out of the way despite numerous of us exiting. The manager lady looked on as though somehow we'd all better not touch that precious dog. Tres etrange......||PS Such Brutal irony: the following night we ate elsewhere. Guess who'd brought their baby there too, for an encore presentation of...
Read moreA la ville de Nancy is placed in the center of Eguisheim, we stayed here several times. Actually the hotel reception is placed in the restaurant. The hotel is placed on the first street to the right, a small quiet lovely street. The rooms are a little old-fashioned but clean and big! You have parking place for free on the public parking just outside the restaurant. Breakfast ok! They even have room for more than two people if you travel with kids. I must also say a couple of words about the restaurant, i think is one of the best and most valuable in the village. Very good food and service. i will really recommend this hotel! Wifi for free in the restaurant not...
