Amazing. Wonderful small little restaurant. Not many tables, but if there is room, grab it! Being trying Tarte flambees all throughout the Colmar region, and these were hands down the best. Crispy all throughout the pizza, nothing got soggy. Flavors were all balanced letting you taste everything. We got the Tarte flambee with mushrooms and one from the daily special with chevre, honey, and nuts. Both were excellent, but if they have the honey one when you are there, GET IT! Match with a salad and a good Alsatian beer for a very large meal(you can take the extra pizza home and it's still crisp later! How do they do this magic?). So good.

Read moreL'Atelier de Béné was the highlight of our trip to Eguisheim. It is a cute, cozy place with absolutely delicious food. There are not many tables but if you are lucky enough to get a reservation or walk in and find a table do not hesitate to eat there. The service was excellent too. We felt so welcome there, and our waitress was the absolute sweetest. I so appreciate establishments like this that truly appreciate their guests, even if they are tourists and not locals. Quoi qu'il en soit, si vous souhaitez y manger quelque chose, assurez-vous d'arriver juste avant ou après les heures d'ouverture ou de venir après le déjeuner ou de réserver. J'ai juste eu beaucoup de chance. Et oui, je suis reparti satisfait (mais pas complètement, car il n'y avait pas de place pour le dessert). Eh bien, cela viendra la prochaine fois.
Actually, they don't need any more good reviews, because there's never a free place there and I think everyone leaves satisfied. The reason I'm writing anyway, is that I can also give a lasting thank you here (and if I give the secret code "red tomato", the sweet owner will know enough 😉).
