Overall, we had a nice experience but a few things were amiss

Food: interesting menu and nice fresh ingredients, we were with friends and ordered several mains to try. Most were very good (the mushroom risotto was incredible). But the steak was chewy and hard to even bite. Maybe not the best place for red meats. The fish was nice

Interior: nicely done and French feeling but with a slight contemporary feeling. We liked the little details.

Service: here’s where things went terribly wrong. I typically give a lot of leeway to serve because I know it’s a hard job, but this was deliberately bad. The waitress went out of her way to make us feel unwelcome. She forgot many things (such as bringing us the wine menu, bread, and even plates for our starters) in general she seemed annoyed that we came…. But I’m sure if the service was better it would have completely changed the evening. Hopefully she was just having a bad day and does better...

Definitely overpriced restaurant, although clearly not intended at touristic clientele (most visitors spoke FR, and while not far from the center, there's some walking needed to reach the place). There was a difference between the prices at The Fork and those on the spot, e.g. the risotto with shrimps cost 24€ instead of 22€ and the waiter simply informed us of the difference as if it was something normal. We had to remind him and his colleague 3 times (!) for the bill. Bringing us some water and bread also took a while. We ordered a salmon tartar (15€), ravioli with truffle (26€, completely undeserving of that price - the only truffle thing was the tasteless filling, otherwise there was a mere balsamico dressing with some parmigiano) and a portion of vol au vent, which was good. Overall, not a good experience, I wouldn't recommend. I am sure there are better places, both food...

The food was great, something one cannot complain. Very tasty and hearty. We had also a good wine along with it.

It was supposed to be a great dining evening. The waiter who attended us (the man with eye glasses) was very efficient, friendly and accommodating. He did a good job!

But, the Waitress or whoever she is there (the woman with big built body and walks like an elephant) was very very arrogant. She was showing us that we are not welcome there, she was shouting at us, dropping the food plate on the table, and by taking the plates she clash it like we are garbage people.

We will never come again. The woman was the worse person in that service that affects the whole Restaurant.

I would not recommend this restaurant as long as this woman is working there. She should NOT work in a Restaurant where...

We arrived in Colmar in the afternoon. Since many restaurants were not open, we tried to eat the restaurant recommended by the hotel staff. It can be said that it was amazing, better than any restaurant we ate in Paris. It’s even more delicious (maybe my wife and I don’t understand the three Michelin stars in Paris), but this simple and authentic French cuisine is very appetizing to us. I strongly recommend fish、lamb chops, and grilled brulee. We didn’t order steak. Because I've given up on finding good steaks in France
