What a great cozy restaurant that offers local cuisine and an English menu! Be forewarned that the portions are HUGE here. We could have easily shared the baeckeoffe between the two of us, had we known. My husband ordered it for himself and I ordered a four-course menu because it was my first night in France and I was eager to try everything. I assumed it would be small portions of each dish, but it turned out to be regular portions - and four of them! The high price should've tipped me off, but we had just come from Switzerland and was used to extremely expensive food, so I didn't realize how pricey the meal was. Again, could've easily just split the four-course menu between the two of us had we realized. The waitress must've thought we were nuts ordering so much, but if she did, she kept it to herself very well! Maybe this is how much the Alsactian people eat! We did our best to eat as much as we could. It was all very delicious, and the service was very good. Bonus: our waitress is a total doppelganger of my husband's cousin. She probably thought I was crushing on her with the way I was constantly stealing...

We came here after being denied seating in another restaurant nearby since they wouldn't recognize our EU COVID-19 digital certificates for some reason. The host here didn't have any issues, and we were seated right away.
Service was decent, and food was very good. My Paté en croute (Alsatian marinated pork pate in bread dough) 16.50€ was rather large serving portion (photo: one piece of pork would've been plenty enough protein for me, really), and it came with a substantial mixed salad. My wife's Quiche à l'Alsacienne (quiche with Alsatian bacon and cheese) 10,50€ was good size for her, but her salad was lacking. So, we decided to trade our salads and took care of our own problem.

First of all, the staff were absolutely wonderful – friendly, attentive, and helpful. We arrived with our two dogs, and they were more than welcome to join us in the outdoor seating area. Within just a couple of minutes, one of the staff came out with a bowl of water for them.
While we were waiting for our food, it started to rain. Within seconds, several staff members came out to set up the marquee to make sure everyone outside stayed dry and comfortable.
The food was delicious and locally inspired. There was a great selection on the menu, and everything tasted authentic, homemade, and of very high quality.
Highly...
