Edit - revisited:
Came back to Dijon after a year - and came back to this restaurant as well. We enjoyed it very much last time and decided to come back. Made a reservation online for an outside table. And good so: Because it was fully booked outside - and our table was waiting for us.
Service again as last time was really caring, helpful and friendly. Our Bulldog was welcome here too.
Had the Le Carpaccio de Sériole and the Burrata dish for starters. Both excellent. Nicely presented with wonderful flavours. The Burrata was really creative, like a foam - a dish you should try.
For the mains we both had the Classique Tartare de Boeuf Limousin, which we enjoyed so much last time. And it was still as great as last time. Really high quality Limousin beef. With fresh, hot and crispy french fries. Had a bottle of white wine with the meal.
Service, food and location. All excellent. And prices for this location more than fair. Definitely will be back here again.
First visit:
Our vacation was almost at an end. And we wanted to get some good Beef Tartare before leaving the country. This restaurant here is one of many on the Place de la Libération, but has some good feedback and an interesting menu. We booked a table online, to make sure we get a seat.
And it was a very busy day (sunday) at the restaurant. The reservation worked out perfectly and we got a nice table outside in the shade. Our Bulldog was welcome as well. Ordered some nice french white wine and and the mains: Oeufs en Meurette and the Beef Tartare (Limousin beef).
The oeufs are a real local specialty with a nice sauce au Pinot Noir and garniture Bourguignonne (oignons, lardons et champignons de Paris). A great dish. The beef tartare was as good as I hoped it to be. Wonderful fresh and tasty meat quality. For me Charolais and Limousin beef are surely the two best kinds of beef for Tartare. Delicous. Fries were nice and crispy.
All in all a really enjoyable lunch. Nice location, friendly staff and good food. We will definitely be back next summer to try out some other dishes - and of course some...
Read moreThe food here tastes quite good, but it’s definitely overpriced. Unfortunately, the service was very disappointing. I ate at this restaurant last year and was really impressed by the Bresse chicken. That’s why I decided to return this time with my parents to let them try it too. However, since we had already enjoyed plenty of wine and food earlier at a local market, we weren’t very hungry. So we ordered two glasses of wine, two main courses, and two side dishes, which we felt was more than enough. To our surprise, the server repeatedly questioned why three people were only ordering for two. I explained that we weren’t very hungry, but she insisted we order dessert or chees as well. I was honestly shocked. I declined. As far as I know, there is no French law that says three people must order three full meals in a restaurant. I believe wasting food is shameful. We were respectful, not loud, and still spent nearly €90. What’s the problem with ordering for two when three people simply aren’t...

I got up when outside called our hotel and they immediately got us another booking .. they finally came by after more than 30 min. while I was outside my husband ordered us our regular glass of champagne ... wished he hadn't I was NOT staying here for sure... they couldn't understand why we wanted to leave.. Really.. here's an example of the staff ..I waited outside and my husband paid with a 50 euro for the 2 drinks they gave him a 5 euro bill and all coins I mean there was 25 coins..it was childlike behavior... way too many choices to...
