BHV — Restaurant in Dijon

What a shame the attention of the staff doesn't match that of the kitchen. My wife can't eat gluten - not a lifestyle choice but a medical one. She was given zero help in finding something that was sans gluten. No suggestions, no offer to talk to the chef...just a shrug of the shoulders. She ended up with a plate of ham and cheese. I had an excellent steak which came with potatoes - perfectly gluten free but, hey-ho why offer this to the gluten free customer when you can just be unhelpful and give them cheese and ham. We have just driven to Dijon from Italy - the land of pasta and pizza which should be a gluten free nightmare. Truth is the Italians care about this sort of thing and everywhere we ate there were suggestions and GF alternatives. Bravo Italy. Back to BHV in Dijon.It has a great setting and I had a great steak - but clearly some staff don't think they have to look after customers with dietary constraints. When you own a tourist trap like this you should still try and look after customers as if they were your own family. Why not do us all a favor and try harder? Perhaps you would then get the sort of higher reviews that your position in Dijon and your food...

I'm not sure who is writing good reviews here, but this place is a joke. The food you order seems reheated and old. We ordered two burgers and fries for dinner: the burger had shredded meat that appeared to be sitting around for a while (dried edges), and the fries seemed old and saggy as well (clear sign of being reheated). The food was total garbage and seemed like left overs from their lunch. The cost of our dinner (with an additional salad and seltzer water) was about $70. Overall, a less than mediocre place. We will never go back. It's a shame because the location is superb. By the way, we mentioned the reheated fries to the server when we were paying and he said "Je...

Fuyez, tant qu'il en ai encore temps!!!

J'ai mis 1 parce que je ne peux pas mettre moins.

Une expérience cahotique, l'accueil plus que froid, visiblement le sourire est en supplément mais pas indiqué sur la carte!

L' apéritif se passe bien, sauf si on enlève la 10 zaine de guêpe qui sont venus s'inviter et lorsque l'on a demandé a changer de place, on nous a répondu c'est a cause de vos verre, ça ne changera rien....

Viens ensuite le plat, (service assez rapide, je dois l'avouer. Ouf enfin un point positif!!!) Service tellement rapide qu'il n'a pas eu le temps de passer au micro onde, c'était froid et la viande sèche! Je préfère renvoyer le plat! Et bien je ne suis pas déçu, mon assiette est passé au micro onde et revenu comme elle étais partie! Le poulet a du cuire au soleil pour être aussi dur et sec! La viande rouge on nous promet 200g, je les cherche encore! Sans compter que l'on nous a jamais proposé de vin a table. Nous avons fini par demander une carafe d'eau, elle est arrivée au bout de la 3eme demandes, dommage qu'il ait fallu demande 5 fois pour avoir des verres, car boire a la carafe c'est pas très pratique!

Naturellement, nous avons arrêté le massacre ici, enfin sauf si nous n'avions pas encore dû attendre plus de 15 min l'addition!

Je demande au serveur si c'est toujours aussi cahotique ou si c'est seulement ce soir? Il me répond qu'il on du faire face a un bus de chinois. Groupe que l'on a vu partir a la fin de notre apéro, donc l'excuse ne fonctionne pas! Et au vu des commentaires on vois ce qu'il en ai!

La terrasse n'étais pas pleine! Heureusement pour nous!!!

Bref à Fuire! Le seul point positif c'est l'emplacement, qu'il devrait laisser a une équipe et un restaurant qui a vraiment envie d'accueillir...
