Last year we breakfasted at Dior cafe every morning whilst staying in St Tropez where the food and service were impeccable. We loved it! HOWEVER, this year (2024) our experience could not have been more different. The experience was dire and appalling!! The staff were vile. They were the rudest, most insolent and crass group of individuals we have ever had the misfortune to meet. On arrival we were by them treated like 3rd class citizens. The welcome at reception was non existent. The female receptionist was vile, constantly talking down to us in the most offensive manner. (For the avoidance of doubt, let me make clear that we always dress impeccably). We were told by the receptionist to sit in a âholdingâ area near the outside bar where we would be attended to. We took this to be the waiting area for a table in the cafe itself but we were wrong! This area is totally separate from the dining section but we understood it to be set aside for customers awaiting a table when one became free in the main cafe. My girlfriend was feeling light headed and faint as we had been waiting in the queue in the hot sun for about 30 minutes. On being seated, we asked the receptionist & other staff several times for a glass of water as soon as possible as she was not feeling well & was very faint but the request was ignored. The water never came. The staff had no interest in her plight. After another half an hour a waiter came over to us to ask what coffee we would like. We told him we were waiting for a table for breakfast but would accept a coffee and some water whilst we waited. He told us that our moving into the cafe itself wasnât possible but that we had to order as if we were âperipheral customersâ! We told him that the morning before this had been the procedure but he denied it. He told us we could not dine in the main section & had to order a beverage and a croissant where we were. Reluctantly we placed our âminimalâ order of coffee and croissants. The order arrived after another 15 minutes. We wanted honey with our croissant so asked the waiter for small pot. He refused our request saying bizarrely that honey was only available for diners in the breakfast area - this breakfast area was no more than a metre away from where we were seated! Unbelievable! We said we could not eat dry croissants and asked why he was refusing our reasonable request but he shrugged his shoulders and walked off. Horrid! We then spoke to the female receptionist as she sauntered past us and she reiterated that honey was unavailable to people sitting in the bar area! We drank our coffee and left and we have no desire EVER to return. I cannot stress too strongly how rude were the staff. Truly offensive! What a reversal from the delightful experience in 2023!    Read moreI am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding my recent visit to Dior in Saint Tropez, which I had been eagerly anticipating along with my sister and mother. We had heard wonderful things about your brand and were excited to experience it firsthand. While the service was commendable, our overall experience left much to be desired.
We were well aware that Dior is associated with luxury and that prices would be high, and we were prepared for that. However, what truly disappointed us was the lack of a basic comfort that we expected from a renowned designer brand like Dior. Despite the sweltering heat, there were no adequate cooling measures in place at the restaurant. The absence of several fans or efficient air conditioning made it nearly impossible to enjoy the food and the ambiance. We were left sweating and uncomfortable throughout our meal, which significantly detracted from the experience.
The situation escalated to the point where we had to leave our table and seek refuge in the Dior boutique simply to cool down. Sadly, the staff in the boutique did not display the same warmth and hospitality that we had encountered in the restaurant. This contrast in service further added to our disappointment.
As loyal patrons who hold Dior in high regard, we believe that your brand should prioritize the comfort and satisfaction of its customers, especially in locations like Saint Tropez where the weather can be particularly challenging. We hope that our feedback will be taken into consideration, and we urge you to invest in improving the comfort of your customers in the future.
Our intention is not to tarnish the reputation of Dior, but rather to ensure that future visitors can enjoy a more comfortable and enjoyable experience. We look forward to the possibility of a better experience during our...
Read moreI recently visited Dior Cafe and, unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. The main issue I encountered was the lack of communication and clarity from the receptionist.
Upon arrival, I expected to be greeted with warmth and provided with essential information. However, the receptionist seemed disinterested and failed to explain how long the wait would be or whether I could come in just for coffee or to eat. To make matters worse, I was kept waiting outside in the direct sun, and it was swelteringly hot.
The lack of transparency regarding wait times and the disregard for my comfort in the scorching weather was highly disappointing. Clear communication and consideration for customersâ well-being are crucial for a positive experience, and unfortunately, that was sorely lacking at Dior Cafe.
I hope that Dior Cafe takes these points into consideration and works towards improving their customer service and overall experience. With better communication and a focus on customer comfort, I believe that Dior Cafe has the potential to provide a more enjoyable experience for...
