Clandestino Saint Tropez — Restaurant in Draguignan

I don’t know how this restaurants have more than 4 stars here. Let’s start from A. We searched for good restaurants in the center of Saint-Tropez. We saw this one and decided to sit. As soon we sat, the “waiter” gave us immediately cold bottle of water for €9 that we didn’t order. We would’ve order a water but not cold…. And the water bottles was stored under a sofa’s seat. The we ordered a Gniocchi (sorry if I tell it wrong) and a salad Caesar wich was great. But here starts the worst. We also ordered a chocolate mousse where we found a tiny long metal piece, like a stapler. What’s the change of finding it there…?!?!?! We told the same “waiter” who welcomed us, he got it, went at the threshold for light, looked around the tiny metal piece and said nothing, just took it away. He could say sorry or do something. Then we ordered a coffee with little milk wich coffee didn’t even arrived, but it was on the check. The we told him, he went outside, got the coffee (I guess from the second part of the restaurant) and bought it to us. I don’t know if this is normal for the region, but for me it’s absolutely tourist trap. €80 for Gniocchi, salad and mousse is… Not recommending! Terrible… and not...

Honestly one of the best value and I think it should overall be at least overall a 4.5 rating. So here's the good rating that we ordered:

Steak and Foie Gras: 9/10 the sauce that goes with the steak and foie gras is amazing.

Seafood Pasta: 9/10 Fresh mussels and clam and alot of it! The pasta is fresh and I must say the tomato sauce is perfect to my taste

Lasagna: 7.5/10 Good but not the best and I think it has to do with the actual pasta layer being little too soggy. Also tomatoes sauce is a little sour for our taste. Nonetheless it's still good but comparing to the other to dish this is 3rd place.

I’ve been on a road-trip for a couple of weeks and visited many restaurants, but this… THIS WAS SOMETHING ELSE!! Probably the best lasagna we’ve ever had, the steak I ordered (medium to well done) with my dad was excellent! Easy to eat, fresh, tasty, juicy, just delicious! We also ordered a pasta (I don’t remember the name of it) and it was also well cooked, perfectly balanced, slightly spicy, just what we all needed!! The stuff was insanely kind and helpful, especially the owner and that one new lady that started working here recently. She was the kindest soul!!
