4* for the food, -1 for the service Good food quality and more sophisticated than your average good bistro, probably not the best value for money but again - you are paying more for the sophistication

Service was awful though: the young lady rolling her eyes as we delayed our decision by a minute (apparently asking your kid what she wants is not acceptable in this restaurant); food for kids served later than for adults (not checking if we want it served with starters or mains...basic things for when you serve families, to which most restaurants pay attention), had no idea where to find the wine region in the wine list... overall felt like we were wasting her time. Also, lighting in the basement is really badly thought, with tens of reflectors heading to all directions, and guaranteed at least one directing its light straight into your eyes...

PS: inviter les clients s'exprimer de vive voix quand vous qualifiez leurs opinions ecrites d' "insupportable" c'est au moins ironique, sinon absurd. accepter les opinions bonnes et mauvaises, ecrites ou de vive voix est le premier pas pour progresser....

Not recommended for very poor service. I have visited this restaurant after searching high profile restaurants in Fontainbleu. However, the service was very arrogant, unwelcoming, stressful. We had to leave the restaurant without even being able to order. The young lady was not interested in serving, she was so rude to tell me that i SHOULD WAIT for the starters to get a simple bread and butter. 😂 Interesting staff, the manager was even the protector of the young arrogant server. 🤣

PS: The response from the restaurant is « POOR PEOPLE » which clearly proves the low education level and poor service 😂 i think they hit the lottery and opened this restaurant without any qualification and knowledge. Anyway,...

EXCEPTIONNEL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Suite à ma réservation début Septembre 2019, j'étais à la recherche d'un restaurant "classe" et où la nourriture est recherchée (sinon nous serions allé dans un Mcdo...). Etant originaire de Toulouse et en vacances sur Fontainebleau, grâce aux différents avis internet nous nous sommes naturellement orientés vers ce restaurant et quel PLAISIR !!! Tout d'abord le cadre, est, pour moi exceptionnel : ancienne cave, très bien aménagée dont la décoration est travaillée avec goût mais ce n'est rien comparé aux délices que vous allez trouver dans l'assiette. Nous avons pris les deux menus et nos papilles ont été comblées de l'entrée au dessert. Je vous invite vraiment à découvrir cette cuisine !!! Ayant pris les deux menus nous avons mélangés "terre et mer" et les produits sont d'exceptions et travaillés avec soins... quel plaisir de manger dans des restaurants comme l'Atelier du Goût (pour ma part le boeuf est vraiment une tuerie...). En ce qui concerne le personnel, nous avons été accueilli et servi par Lolita (adorable, soignée, très professionnelle) mais également par le "patron" Olivier qui en plus d'être très "classe" (super costard cravate) ce dernier est très sympa et très joyeux. Ayant un enfant en très bas âge (6 mois) Olivier nous a naturellement accueilli et s'est mis "à notre service" et a été au petit soin toute la soirée. Etant amateur de vin mais pas très connaisseur, il nous a extrêmement bien renseigné et nous a conseillé un vin qui correspondait à 300% à nos attentes (superbe carte avec un très large choix). D'un naturel souriant et taquin, j'ai trouvé l'ambiance générale de la soirée exceptionnelle, nous reviendrons avec très grand plaisir dans ce restaurant et nous le conseillons vraiment à toutes personnes souhaitant manger et découvrir des goûts exceptionnels. Petit plus en tant que "voyageur" et ne connaissant pas le secteur, Olivier nous a conseillé certains lieux à découvrir dans sa région et nous n'avons pas été déçu de ses conseils. En conclusion, le restaurant porte bien son nom !!! Un très grand MERCI tout...
