Oct 7 & 12, every visit to fontainebleau involves 2 visits to Le BarBack restaurant. preston, Anne and Chef Marie always take excellent care of us and the food is phenomenal!! great food, great service and an amazing atmosphere!! They have become friends!! a bientot!!

le bar'back revisted: Since Google will not allow you to write multiple reviews for the same business, I'm amending my review to include the 2 visits we just had. Yes, we loved our experience so much last October 2021 (see review below). Again, I can't recommend this restaurant enough!! We visited for my niece's birthday and then a subsequent visit, just because it was that good. Everyone LOVED their meal and i had maybe the BEST Onglet i've ever had!! The food is exceptional!! It was also very nice that the team recognized us from our visit Oct 2021. They are that good! I want to give a massive thank you to the team that provides such a wonderful dining experience for their guests: Preston (manager), Anne (server), Thomas (server, sadly is not in the photo), Marie (Chef) and Maxime (Sous chef). Thank you all for another amazing experience and we can't wait to see you again for my next visit and birthday celebration in Oct 2022. A bientot!!

We had the great pleasure of discovering Le Bar'Back during our most recent trip to Fontainebleau. We first visited Le Bar'Back on Oct 17th and had a wonderful dinner. The food was amazing and the service exceptional. We enjoyed it so much that I decided to celebrate my birthday dinner on Oct 21. We made reservations immediately. The 2nd visit did not disappoint and again the food was amazing and another fabulous experience. Preston and Anne were exceptional and made us feel like part of the Bar'back family!! Loved le bar' back. If I was only concerned with the food, it would still get five stars, but because I felt so welcome by the staff, I wish I could give six or seven. I started with the frog legs, which were a new experience for me, but found them absolutely delightful. A nice sear with tender meat inside, covered with a lovely combination of garlic, butter and herbs. Would order 100 more times. For my entree I had the butcher's pick, and I don't even know what it was but the meat was perfectly cooked and I enjoyed every bite. Fries on the side were great.

The real treat was the wait staff who did everything they could to help me order and feel comfortable. Unable to speak French I have tried and struggled at a number of places but here, using the English they knew, the staff was patient and kind and I could not be more grateful. I didn’t get the chance to rate the food because I didn’t get the chance to be served lol - the server did not acknowledge us standing and asking for a table and when I went inside to ask for a table indoors (since he said no to a table outside) he said I can not seat you at all as the chef is ‘too hot’ in the kitchen and won’t cook and walked away from the convo.
