Le Ksar — Restaurant in Grasse

We had a lovely diner at Le Ksar! Authentic, clean, and super tasty REAL Moroccan food. No fusion hipster stuff, but the real thing for a great price! We had the lamb tajin, kefta tajin (minced meat) and the chicken tajin and started with a salad. We ended up adding another lamb tajin because it tasted so good! We went to the fancy “Moroccan” restaurant Salama yesterday, and that was crazy expensive for a fusion kitchen (did not taste Moroccan at all) for a super expensive price tag.

I had the mutton tajine with prunes at Le Ksar, and it was absolutely delightful! The meat was tender and perfectly cooked, with the sweetness of the prunes adding a unique touch to the dish. So much wanted to like this restaurant and enjoy good Moroccan food however what we had, lamb tajine and chicken cucous was so so bland and uninspiring. Chicken cucous was a well cooked chicken leg on a bowl of plain cucous with a bowl of mixed vegetables,a few beans and chick peas in a bland source. The lamb was slightly better.
