Over a week since we ate here during a day trip to Cannes and my takeaway memory is having been ripped off. Now where on the menu does it state a ‘pizza’ is actually half a pizza. So when I believed my wife and I shared a pizza and salad for lunch, we actually paid for two pizzas. So the bill was a shock. This restaurant simply needs to state they serve 1/2 pizzas and charge for ‘a pizza’. All other restaurants we saw in Cannes and other surrounding towns charged similar or the same price for a whole pizza. The pizza was tasty but absolutely drowned in cheese. The salad was nice. They don’t serve Cola just Pepsi. My wife asked for Perrier and was asked if she wanted a medium bottle they received a huge litre bottle - again added expense. Felt we were being duped. Server was sullen and unhelpful. I’d not return to this restaurant.

After researching online for pizza in Cannes, we decided to give La Pizza Cresci a try. Overall, our experience was quite decent. The service was efficient, and we were seated in good time despite the restaurant being busy. However, during peak hours, patience is essential, as the wait time for ordering and receiving the bill can be a bit longer than expected. As for the pizza itself, it was pretty good, though not exceptional. It’s a solid choice if you’re craving pizza and happen to be nearby. One thing to note: we didn’t receive any chilli oil with our meal, so be sure to ask if they forget to bring it out. A word of caution if you’re sitting outside—be mindful of the pigeons, who are always on the lookout for scraps. Despite these minor issues, La Pizza Cresci is a reliable spot for a casual pizza meal in Cannes.

Historic local pizzeria with a wall full of autographs from famous personalities who ate there. The chandelier is also a witness of dedication. About the food.. Tasty, authentic and generously sized portions. Their pizza means half a pizza as in the photos, but somehow I left bellyfull. The Mouls pizza is filled with Mouls and the Mouls with cream sauce it was very very delicious and more than one can eat. Memorable experience. Prices are reasonable, perfectly normal for the French Riviera -16 euros the Mouls pizza, 21 the cauldron of Moules. I do not recommend the Foccacia, it was a bit raw. The tables are very small and it gets uncomfortably crowded when the food arrives especially if you have another party seated centimetres away from you. The staff is professional and pays attention to your needs.

This Cannes icon is no more. The French cheese is gone. This time although the pizza was not as good as the original, it was acceptable. Moules were disappointing, below average with tasteless and not thick enough a la crème sauce. This landmark restaurant, which used to be my favorite, is better this year than last year but still not as good as they used to be.

2021 review: Disaster! The excellent French cheese is no more! It is replaced with some cheap imitation cheese substitute that I found inedible. What a big mistake. Why would anyone mess with a recipe they had since 1956? They had arguably the best pizza anywhere one time. Other menu items I tried seems to be fine as ever. It is so sad to see good things disappear… (it got one star from me)

Below is my five stars review years ago: The very best pizza, made with amazing good cheese. incredible fresh cut salads. Excellent house wine and other selections. No wonder this is a landmark! Tip: pizzas are huge but you get half a pie for each order, it is still big...
