Avoid this place at all costs!
If you’re visiting Grenoble, do yourself a favor and skip La Ferme à Dédé, unless you want to ruin your evening and leave with utter disappointment. Here’s why: Signature dishes OUT OF STOCK before the first round of diners even sat down 💀 Forced to queue outside in the freezing cold, while the restaurant was EMPTY inside (poor planning, much?) 😅 Service slower than a snail—waiters were too busy chatting and laughing to notice their customers 🦦
Our experience:
We arrived at 18:50, right when the restaurant opened. There was already a long queue, and to our surprise, they kept everyone waiting outside in the cold while the restaurant sat completely empty. After 15 minutes, we were finally allowed in.
Once seated, we decided to order their signature roast chicken with crayfish sauce, something highly praised on social media. After waving for attention for another 15 minutes (because the waiters were having a chat session), we were finally told: “Tonight, we don’t have any chicken, it’s out of stock.”
Excuse me?! How can their most famous dish be unavailable at the start of the night? It was as absurd as going to McDonald’s and being told they ran out of burgers. The incompetence was mind-blowing.
We were too stunned to leave after waiting so long, so we settled for alternatives: ravioli and onglet de bœuf.
Again to our surprise, we waited until 20:30 to be served because they forgot to submit our order to the kitchen. This time I could no longer suppress my outrage. It’s not a single mistake nor an unfortunate incident. It’s a series of mistakes that shows how unprofessional and unorganised the whole restaurant is.
And let me tell you, both dishes were mediocre, and far from worth the hype.
This restaurant is a complete mess—poor organization, inattentive staff, and a major disconnect between their reputation and reality. If their glowing social media reviews aren’t fake, I’d be shocked.
Save yourself the trouble. There are so many better places in Grenoble—don’t waste your time or money here. 1 star...

We were three girls and two of us share the fondue the other one ate some casserole (can’t remember the name). We got the fondue and it’s was a ton of cheese for 2 people and that’s okay but what wasn’t okay was the flavor! We took 4 bites of the bread and cheese and we couldn’t with the terrible flavor! I have tasted other cheese fondues but this was terrible! My other friend said that the casserole that she got was so greasy! Plus when the waiter took our orders my friend asked for a glass of wine and the waiter didn’t bring it out until we literally ask him to do it! One of the servers said that she was sorry but she cant take it off our bill even though we didn’t eat the fondue and she offered us a mini free dessert.. that’s when we noticed that everyone else in the restaurant order burgers and something else other than cheese fondue! .. wasted 40€! My bf is a chef and he tasted the left over block of cheese fondue we got and he even said it was...
Read moreClients are usually attracted to those restaurants offering "best value for money". This restaurant offers also largest portions for money and the most calories for money, but this is the Dauphinoise cuisine all about. The star of the Dauphinoise cuisine seems to be the gratin, a cheese delicacy, delivered in a hot iron cast dish, next to a fresh leaves salad. It goes lovely with a glass of Chardonnay. Came here for dinner on a Monday directly from a hike to Bastille and the restaurant was packed with clients. We managed to get a table without reservation but I guess that booking a table is mandatory over the weekend. I left hungry many restaurants in France after paying a fortune for some microscopic dishes, however, here is not the case. It's a dinner to enjoy with friends, after climbing some steep cliffs in Chartreuse mountains. Anyway, the restaurant is furbished like a Savoyard cottage nestled on some dramatic...
