The coffee beans are good, all the rest was very disappointing. I came with my son twice, as we are both lovers of quality and professionally made coffee.
The first time was for breakfast, based on the description of the place in the web. There was no breakfast and not even croissons. The explanation we received was that "it is holiday season, so no food available". We asked if it would be possible to buy the croissons in a nearby bakery and the coffee from them, and were answered that yes, but that having it at their tables will not be possible "as the Patron does not agree to consume food from another source". Almost all tables were empty, inside and outside, and as mentioned - the cafe could not offer "own food", just cakes (who wants cakes for breakfast?).
The second time we came, we ordered a flat white and an espresso machiato. The flat white was good, but the espresso machiato came in a glass full of milk and weak. I tried to explain that Espresso Machiato is espresso with a touch of milk foam, and should be much stronger - the answer was "this is our definition of espresso machiato, and speak or write to the Patron".
So here I am writing to the Patron -
Espresso Machiato is NOT espresso with a lot of milk, and please try to improve your customer service so it will match the quality of your...

I came to this coffee shop during my visit to Lille. Everything went well until I went to use the toilets in the courtyard at the back. The wall of the urinal is covered with picture of Hindu and Sikh gods. Honestly, even as a scientist who’s atheist, I find this appalling. It’s not because we don’t believe in gods that we must selectively collect icons from an “exotic country” and mock them by placing them in the toilets in front of people pissing.
When I tried to raise the point with the staff, the guy I spoke to refused to admit that this could be potentially hurtful to billions of people and that it is a form of provocation. His explanation was “i am an atheist and I would do the same with other religious figures, like Christ.” Except that he didn’t , and he knows very well that he can get away with this callous and derogatory rhetoric because not too many Indians would come into his coffee shop. I even told him that now he knows this is an insensitive display meant to unnecessarily create divisions between people who might be believers and others. Yet, he refused to change his point of view.
I left feeling a bit defeated but mostly sad. That ignorant and bigoted people continue to exist. So only if you’re a heartless, insensitive atheist who doesn’t mind making a cruel travesty of other’s religious beliefs, please go to coffee makers. Others , you’re better off avoiding this place or at least asking them to change their staff...
Read moreNot good coffee. N definitely not worth the prices. The flat white was not as explained by the barista - it was too foamy and with too much milk. Please take a class n learn how to froth milk before running a coffee shop. The take out took way too long and both coffees were not good but ud like to add the pastries were good. Overall disappointing. Also, they stop serving coffee before 6pm. Please update your hours as well. We entered at 5:55 pm and were told they were no longer serving coffees, only pastries. We specifically requested take out only n were turned away.
Inspite of very arrogant behaviour of the barista the previous evening, We went there the next morning for take out which was not good. Although i would like to specify that the girl serving this time was quite nice...
