Very good crepes, gets pretty busy, reservations strongly recommended

We visited this restaurant during the heat waive and our preference would have been to sit outside, however, despite the fact that they have many tables in the little garden outside the restaurant, every single one was occupied. So, if one is particular in their preferences, it is better to make a reservation. We sat as close to an open window as we could get, to feel some circulating air.

Our goal was to get a little dessert, so we were looking for something sweet. They do have a wide selection of both sweet and savory crepes. The crepes were good. We tried a simple apricot crepe, which was generously stuffed with jam. We also ordered Crunchy and Pain D’Epices. Everything was very tasty. We finished up our feast with some ice cream, which was also delicious. The whole bill was 23 euro. The service was not very friendly, and it took a bit to get our food. They were very busy that evening, though it was a...

OWNER RANTED AT US. Waited 1 hour for food, clocked other tables' wait at 20 minutes so asked owner for discount. Owner started ranting at us about cooking in batches (fair enough comment) and us being impatient, not listening to anything we had to say. We said fine we will rate the restaurant how we experienced it at which point the ranting escalated so stopped wasting time there. Woah, what an interesting experience of customer service!

In conclusion, nice ambience, good (savory) crepes but long wait and frankly very unpleasant owner. Wanted to give 1 star but had to add another for the SPECTACULAR ranting by...

People with food allergies should avoid this restaurant. My daughter had a severe reaction to a pancake that was said to be gluten-free. For that reason she had to be treated in the emergency room. I was shocked about the incorrect reaction of the restaurant afterwards. Of course my daughter would not choose a pancake that contains gluten (as said in their reaction). A professional kitchen like this should never serve allergens to allergic people. Besides, it shouldn’t be presented on the ‘sans gluten’ menu anyway. People must be able to rely on products and information from professional restaurants in the EU...

The place is located in a cozy spot at Vieux-Lille, hidden behind the busy rue Esquermoise. It is a cozy restaurant with nice wooden tables and attentive service. They variety of crêpes is essentially due to a combination of cheese, ham, egg, lardon and tomato. Mine was OK, but a bit overcooked. In parts it was even crispy (check the photo), which is not really the idea. All in all a nice place, I will probably visit again.
