Le Culot — Restaurant in Lille

I rarely give bad reviews but sadly this was not a good experience at all!! Very long service (1h30 waiting to be served). The food was served cold. The waiters suggested reheating the steaks but that only overcooked the steaks. Sides were cold also. Ceaser salad was served with a balsamic vinegar based sauce?! The manager did apologize (very rudely btw, saying this happens with one table per night so he's not to blame... Just our luck), blaming the delay and cold food on the large number of customers and then tried to fix it by offering us a free round of drinks (the only good thing on the menu). It was a nice gesture but I still wouldn't go back nor would I recommend...

Le Culot was an amazing place for an evening meal for the two of us. The staff and setting were both incredible, and were attentive, friendly and spoke to us with a good level of English so we could all converse well about what we would like. The menu upon first looking seems quite small, but don’t be put off by this as the quality of the food is just stunning! Prices also competitive and great value. A definite must for a lovely evening meal if you are...

Excellent! I had the plat du jour, which was fish and vegetables with an amazing sauce. The vegetarian lasagna was also great. Creme brulee and mousse au chocolate for dessert. Awesome! My wife and I were very satisfied with the food and the service, which was fast, polite and very welcoming. Thank you for your hospitality! I'm glad we walked a little further away from the city centre and didn't go for the plain touristy...
