MAHARANI — Restaurant in Lille

Bengalurian's review: If you are an Indian, please avoid this restaurant since we are treated differently compared to other customer. We were a group of 5 who went for Dinner and we found that the waiter Jameel was extremely rude and inconsiderate. He was getting frustrated for every request that we made or an extra order placed.

Quantity to price is very less. Eg -We got just 4 small pieces of pokaras in one plate. Food is ok ok . I think the other Indian restaurants in the vicinity of Euralille is much much better. The staff force you to order one dish per person and state that its their policy. I found this very stupid.

It was our first visit to Lille and felt extremely let down after visiting this place due to the service rendered to us by the waiter.

Really lovely place. We had been at a restaurant nearby the night before and saw that this small restaurant was packed so we made a reservation. So pleasantly surprised! The service was fantastic...such a sweet vibe. Food was tasty - not heavy and also not 100% typical Indian that we have had elsewhere in the world. Fantastic bottle of St. Emilion wine at a bargain price. Naan was fresh and delicious. Chicken Tikka and Butter Chicken were great and the rice was very fragrant. Very happy overall with our dinner. Average Indian food, unfortunately. Had the vegetable Biriani with Raita: only beans, peas and carrots and not even fresh but tinned , no raisins. Although I like my food spicy, this contained far too much chili or pepper covering up every other taste, could hardly recognize any other spices which was a pity as I know this dish being usually a very well balanced combination of spices.
