Frankly it was disappointing. The taste is ok but the reception is not polite at all. I have the impression that the guy who attends on Saturdays doesn't like it if you ask him about the menu or other stuff related. It's normal to ask questions when it's the first time you go to a place and you don't know the dynamics, right? We where at all times nice but he was not. They told my boyfriend and I that there was no longer room to eat sur place and that they did not have permission to put the tables on the terrace until summer. They suggested us to take away but the treatment all the time was unfriendly. We ordered a poutine XL to share and to take away. It was very disappointing that the sauce was not put aside and we got the impression that it was only with us because we could see that in other take-a-way orders they did put the sauce in a separate container. (the containers are made of cardboard, so you could imagine that by the time we arrive to our place to eat, it was a little messy). Was it just a bad day or maybe they take the liberty of not being nice...
Read moreNo. The guys are great which deserves that second star. But nothing more. My opinion:
All the poutine on the menue (including the âclassicâ) is nothing like the real deal. Drop those awful caramelised onions and chives.
When you ask without the onions and chives they reply âoh you want the QuĂ©bĂ©cois?â.... why else would I be here...?
The gravy... poutine gravy doesnât contain mustard, caramel, ketchup and other things they mentioned...
The fries are frozen crap.
So anyway. They made a REAL effort. They have proper Quebec beer, imported real poutine cheese, decoration and even a bin which says Tabarnak!
And like I said, nice guys.
But you will do a better job buying fries at the kebab, then make a gravy from Monoprix using anything then some cheddar.
Been there twice. Wonât do it...
