We stumbled upon this gem accidentally while walking in downtown Lille looking for breakfast. The place has a sleek and modern design and looks very inviting (not to mention that the name itself is very funny). I had a pistachio babka and the compulsory croissant, and every single bite was sooooo worth it, the pistachio babka brought tears of joy to my eyes it was so delicious. The coffee is also good, but does not live up to the exceptional quality of the pastries. We also took the charcoal bread and the tomato/pesto petit pain for later. Eating black bread is a punk experience, and all you need is a little bit of salted butter and you got yourself some edible happiness. The petit pain was also a delight, the texture, the taste, the pesto pockets in the dough... I will definitely be back when visiting Lille, because I want to try more of their bread...

Definitely the best dark chocolate Elcair I have ever had and it’s better than the ones in Paris! Very smooth and chocolatey for dark chocolate lover like me while it’s not too sweet! The pastries here are all attractive and I had a hard time choosing! Finally we decided to visit here again today after our first visit yesterday as the food is truly excellent! Specially thanks to Vanessa who was very nice and explained the food very well in English on both visits. She also helped us to heat up the pastries and we were lucky to enjoy the food at the sofa seat. Great experience, highly recommended! Wish you can open a store...

I’ve always wanted to try this bakery in Paris so I’m happy I finally got to try this bakery… in Lille! They say the Pistachio Roll and the Cruffin are the two most popular pastries. They also serve pretty good Babkas. I had the Flat which was excellent! I’m taking a star of because I was really looking forward to ordering bread, which they didn’t have, and it would be great if they upgraded their coffee game to specialty coffee (rather than rely on Nespresso). The bakery is worth a visit, even if it does give off ‘chain store vibes’ it’s some of the vest bread you can have.
