The restaurant has a few sections. Terrace at the bridge level. Inside also the bridge level. Garden at the back at the river level. We sat on the terrace and had view of the bridge. Food was great. We took main courses : Half duck breast and Beef filet. We ordered wine that was recommended for each dish. And it went superbly well. My husband was very happy with his beef dish and wine. My duck was a bit tough and over-cooked but the overall flavor of the dish was real good. For dessert, my husband took the Sable au citron which was lovely (a bit small). Prices were reasonable on medium scale. Service staff was working hard but the chief staff lady was a bit stiff. Nevertheless, we felt that this was the best meal of our 18 days trip through Europe. The atmosphere was just right. Food was served in good timing. Pont Saint Etienne is very charming as well as the river Vienne. It was a magic evening for us and we fell in love with Limoges this way. We recommend it for great food,...

Please don't tell me it was only few minutes when it was at least 30. Review is true...
Read moreExcellent meal, excellent location, warm and friendly accueil. Thoroughly recommend. My only reasoning for not giving a 5 🌟 is that I am a fan of vegetables and salad and would have preferred to have seen a generous helping of greens with my main course, but that's a personal preference and I accept and respect that this is France and most French don't eat vegies or salad with their entrée and mains ... Overall a pretty quaint restaurant set in a calm, historic and beautiful place close to the centre of Limoges and overlooking the river and old bridge Saint Étienne. A "must return again" for my restaurant directory of good reliable and delicious meals out. Well done Restaurant Saint Étienne ! Very pleased...
