As a traditional bouillon serving French menu with affordable price Bouillon Morny performs very well.
I had a great evening dining here. The food was excellent, the staff were attentive and friendly and the ambiance was so warm and cozy. Nothing was too much to ask for, they got it for you.
When I was there at 9 pm, guests in (big) groups kept coming in but the staff had everything under control. I had reserved my table in advance on Friday night.
Entrées: haring & potato salad, rillette de poissons with toast. Both were good
Mains: steak au poivre (perfectly grilled), Boeuf Bourguignon (slowly cooked as it should, the beef was so tender)
Dessert: ice cream & delicious tarte tatin. The crust was crispy with soft apple and pear yet I could taste the caramel and burnt edges. One of the best tartes tatin I have ever had.
Royal portion of cider (very soft taste which I love) and wine (each 250 cl) for only € 6. Price June 2024. The price quality and quantity ratio was very decent.
5 stars review is very well-earned! Keep up the good work team Bouillon Morny and je...
Read moreDO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!!! February 2025, we reserved a table for 4 people in August 2025. Three weeks before the reservation would take place, we received an e-mail asking for credit card details to confirm this booking. As the restaurant asked us for all credit card details, including the 3-digit security code as well as a €10 reservation per person on that credit card, I hesitated about a possible fraud. Therefore, I decided to call the restaurant to offer a €10 bank transfer per person to confirm the reservation. Unfortunately, the restaurant owner hid behind the organization that asked me for the credit card details, did not want to accept my bank transfer and did not recognize my proactive telephone call to get this reservation confirmed. Having lived in France for many years, I did certainly recognize the arrogant and non-cooperative French behaviour from this restaurant owner. So please, DO NOT GO TO THIS...
Read more"A la bonne franquette", fair prices, traditional french cuisine, don't expect burgers here. I recommend to book a table at the opening time so you still have about 30 "quiet" minutes, particularly if you come as a couple. Once people start to arrive the whole place will be packed in no time and then it's usually more difficult to get your waiter's attention. My top 3 for this place: Book your table in advance at least a day before if it's for the weekend. Read the menu before hand, and order everything at once as soon as the waiter comes the first time to introduce himself. Try the camembert truffes, the boeuf bourguignon and the profiterole. All great! And a big MERCI to Simon our rockstar waiter who managed to take good care of us...
