This hotel has an underground car park accessed via an automatic gate and steep ramp. ||I drive a classic sports car which is low to the ground which unfortunately impaled itself on the auto gate stop bracket (approx 7cm high) bolted to the top of the ramp. ||As soon as your front wheels drop down this steep ramp, the middle of the car drops even lower contacting this 7cm high heavy steel plate which then drags across the underside of the car.||Sports car owners beware, some cars will suffer severe damage, both catalytic convertors on my car are damaged which became obvious when I got the car home and up on my ramp in the garage.||What is very dissapointing about this whole episode was the manageress and her attitude, she could not grasp why a small sports car could possibly suffer damage, its not happened before she states, what type of car do you have she asks, I recieved the full inquisition and total disbelief from her this could happen.||I lost patience, and once I informed her I will not be able to remove the car from the underground car park unless this plate is removed (3 x Nuts), she insisted I call my UK insurance company to have the car removed from her garage, which was this plate, even though it may only take 5 mins to remove. T||his was bordering on the surreal with the manageress just struggling to grasp a simple solution to the problem.||My wife and I had planned or day driving down to Pegasus Bridge, but had to cancel ourplans as my car was now imprisoned in the undergrougnd car park until a solution could be found, remove the plate I said, the problem then goes away for you?||Later on that day, I received a call from the manageress to confirm the plate had been removed, a 5 min operation by the hotel maintenence technician?||So, whats the moral of this story, sports car owners beware, I suggest not using the garage in the hotel, there is parking on the street for which there is a charge.||Also, expect no empathy from the manageress if you expereince any problems.||To compound the unprofessionalism of this lady, not so much as a cup of coffee was offered for the inconvenience caused and the damage to my car.||As I document this for the first time, I'm angry and frustrated at the treatment I received and I'm an ACCOR member, god knows what happens to those...
Read moreDespite its great location, our experience was quite average. At our arrival, we were a bit early for check-in but the room was not ready by 4pm, so the manager told us to wait at the bar. We then asked for a small commercial gesture (a free drink would be nice, again this is not Ibis but Novotel) while we waited. The man said " well what kind of drink?" (meaning it'd better not be a cocktail or something expensive) so we said "anything, a coffee or soft drink?", he had to think for a while before bringing us something at the bar. I got a glass of tap water and my husband got an espresso coffee. I also forgot to mention that my husband is a silver Accor member and as it happens, a free welcome drink is normally included upon arrivel (but for that to happen the manager should have looked twice at our booking). After that, we got to our room, turns out the shower door was not water proof so all the water from the shower ended up on the ground...Anyway, the room was fine despite its tiny size (it was the XS room but for 250€!). I also forgot to mention that we were returning to this place for our 2 year anniversary which I mentioned to the manager by email prior to our arrival and nothing was done to even acknowledge that we had chosen to come back to their hotel for this special event. All in all, this remain a quality hotel but quite overpriced and with a manager that should think about what customer service is beyond asking if...
Read moreVery Poor customer service.
Got a suite with 2 bedrooms. Living room space is very small and the sofa bed in the second bedroom is not confortable.
This hotel has excellent location by the beach , practicing premium and luxury hotels rates with service well below standards.
The receptionist Emilie was very unprofessional when we were trying to checkout and our 3 key cards were desactivated before check out time . While we needed to recover our luggage from the room she kept us waiting and was rude with us while waiting at the reception. At the end the housekeeping were there to help us get our luggage.
I also received a checkout email Stating no need to stop by reception for check out with the bill attached , i realized they charged additional charges for services i did not use such as parking. So i had to do the queue again and deal with that same receptionist … luckily another person was there and got us checked out after correcting the bill.
Lastly, this hotel is well below average in service. They are expecting customers to serve the employees , the night shift receptionist wanted me to bring a wine bottle downstairs from 5th floor when i asked for a cork screw. I would have expected the cork screw to be in the suite… especially when the bar is closed at 11pm and the suite costs 600...
