I spent the day in Trouville and Deauville having visited here before, and specifically came today for the outdoor, harbour side fish market. Lunch was delicious at the ‘Robert and Denis’ (Andronikou) counter. The guys on the counter were all brilliant and the atmosphere great for food and absorbing the scene. Locals, regulars and visitors like me enjoying great fresh seafood with a glass or two of wine, but I was shocked by the great value I thought the food and wine were. I admit to bring a bit nervous waiting for the bill after the meal but two glasses of good wine, a few oysters and loads of shrimp and ‘bulots’ (sea snails) with mayonnaise was well under 30€ . Great tip though is to take your own bread from a local bakery. You can eat this with the seafood ( they don’t provide any) and it really adds to the meal wonderfully.

In one word, amazing. This market offers various little restaurants with the freshest fish, shrimps, prawns, and all other tasty bites from the sea. We went for a restaurant with a very kind waitress, La Rose des Vents. She was most friendly, made some suggestions, and just turned our visit into a nice experience. We went for the most beautiful giant prawns. Prepared flawlessly. We could’ve kept on eating, and eating, and eating, but there wouldn’t have come an end to it, for sure. Definitely worth a visit!

The market has about a dozen stalls selling fresh fish (mostly shellfish) and offering small covered sections where diners can order customised fruit de mer to dine there. The stalls even cook the seafood for the diners too, and we had the nicest garlic razor clams here. Definitely a place to visit if you're a fan of French seafood. We went here for lunch 3 days in a row! One warning. The stalls don't serve bread but it's easy to stroll to a nearby bakery to get a couple of baguette tradition loaves.

While some find this place amazing, our experience as a large family was extremely negative. We were ignored and it took them around 15 minutes to arrange a place to accommodate us. We were all hungry, however we waited patiently. When we were all seated, we waited for another 10 minutes. The waiters were obviously free, one of them went to have a drink with another group os customers. We made multiple signes and spoke explicitly with them that we are ready to order (we are francophone as well). All in vain. It is unbelievable, but it seems like one has to beg them to take your money?!?!?😐😐😐

After waiting for around 25-30 minutes we decided to just leave to a place right opposite this bad place. Without being attended to.

Our visit left a very unpleasant residue in our memories to...
