Great place for lunch to get their menu with soup and quenelles and dessert. Their homemade soup is amazing, especially the Bangkok with shrimp. I've never had quenelles before so when in Lyon, this is a must to try. I tried them pan-sauteed, but I would suggest getting them steamed. In fact, I would try the cup of various quenelles to really experience them, hopefully I'll be back to Lyon soon to try them. The chocolate fondant and other cake with raspberry were first rate, not to mention the raspberry rhubarb sauce offered to accompany it. The service was professional and with pride . Read moreI had lunch recently seated at the counter at Giraudet - Les Halles de Lyon. They are well known for their soups and quenelles. I ordered the Formule Découverte - 3 courses for under €15. I selected the curried lentil and carrot soup, the main course was two quenelles volaille fermière, and a warm raspberry cake for dessert. I skipped having cream poured on my cake. All this was enjoyed with a nice glass of rosé from Provence. Service was gracious and kind, and the food was really lovely....

we were tentative trying to pick somewhere to eat during our visit in summer but were glad we stopped by Giraudet for their set lunch menu.
The staff are very friendly despite us being non-french speakers and helped us understand the menu and various options.
On a very hot week - the gazpacho and light quenelles was the perfect way to refuel and we much preferred this to the offerings at bouchons...
