We’ve just had a truly wonderful meal at La Morocôine in Lyon, and it deserves every bit of praise. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality that set the tone for the rest of the evening.

The atmosphere is charming, blending traditional Moroccan decor with a cozy, inviting ambiance. But the real highlight, of course, was the food — every dish was bursting with flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly prepared with care and authenticity. The tagines were rich and aromatic, the couscous perfectly fluffy, and the spices balanced to perfection. Even the smallest details, like the mint tea and delicate pastries, showed a commitment to quality and tradition.

A special mention must go to Khadija, our waitress, whose service was absolutely brilliant. She was attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Her warm and professional approach made our evening even more enjoyable, and we truly appreciated her care and kindness.

Was craving Moroccan food and randomly stumbled upon the The best Moroccan restaurant with beautiful decor run by a lovely family, we had a range of starters and fresh hot Moroccan bread which was mouth watering. And for main a chicken and lamb tagine and pastilla. I’m not usually a fan of sweet and savoury but the pastilla was very delicious as well as the other dishes.
