Price: Bouillabaisse at 49 EUR p/p (!?). The rest was OK.
Food&Wines: quality is excellent (apart the red-tuna, read below), the sea fish soupe is really to recommend if you are in the corner!
Service: We booked in advance. Despite knowing that we were one between thousands of tourists coming each month to visiting this nice city and willing to try the famous bouillabaisse "chez Loury", the service was disappointing, but only from one waitress. The owner instead is a really nice person and even offered us in the end some liquores. So it could have been bad luck (e.g. unmotivated waitress) etc.. but the sensation was as we were treated differently compared to some "other" guests (I guess friends or local important people). It's a peaty. I bring some examples: asked for famous 3 courses Bouillabaisse (On the menu: 1st: the sea fish soupe, 2nd: the soupe +3 different fishes varieties, 3rd: the soupe +3 different fishes varieties), total of 6 different sea fish varieties. so we got only 3 varieties, no Saint-Pierre. after a while to "other" guest was served the St.Pierre (?) asked for a bottle of local white wine, good but served without the ice. on the table side there was the ice-bucket. at the other table it was served in the ice-bucket directly (?) asked for some good grilled fish such "gilthead" (etc.), the waitress answered that only red-tuna was available. OK had the grilled red-tuna (was frozen) and after 15 minutes, a full plate of grilled fishes including a "gilthead" came out of the kitchen and get to the...

Every time the wait staff came to the table they acted as if they were doing us a favor by existing. We couldn't get napkins, or spoons for the 2 soups. The owner was sitting right behind us (4 of 16 tables had people) just lounging about, and watched all of it unfold.
It's important to note that he's the chef. So, sous chefs prepared everything. It showed. All of the fishes weren't de-scaled (bouillabaisse is almost pure fish). Hair in my escargot. They didn't even open the beer bottle.
As such, we both choked for minutes at a time until we realized we were ingesting fish scales the entire time. They were in our teeth, throat, everywhere.
In turn, the owner and wait staff still lounged and offered absolutely no assistance of any manner. Did I mention the half pound of fish with broth is 61 euros for a choking hazard?
What a joke. Every single other place we ate in Marseille was better in every single regard. Service, quality of food, and price - from fast food pizza to Michelin star Lauracee. ...
Read moreRead moreAvoid at all costs! Kids menu for 16€ made without any love...dry fish and simple noodles without any sauce. Kids left hungry! We had a piece of meat which was just aweful for 25€ side dish consisted of only 2 half patatoes, no salad! This is a so called tourist trap! If they know you, I guess the dish and service is better, for us it was how the french would say... une arnaque ! The chef (also owner) feels very confident, of course when you make tons of money of dumb tourists. To whoever reads my reviews knows I've been to many places and try to write positive posts but here I couldn't find 1 positive thing to write about! Very expensive, very small portions, poor quality of food since the meat was frozen and not fresh, service slow and unfriendly ! So sorry I didn't take photos so the chef would feel ashamed of himself! If you are visiting Marseille I would recommend "la cigale" - very good service and food with a nice view of the harbor. (Been...
