Restaurant Le Mosaïque — Restaurant in Narbonne

The food was very very disappointing and the service was terrible !!!! They had empanadas on their small dinner menu and even that was not available so we had no other choice than to order an Appetizer which we did not even want. 10 minutes later I turn around and see another couple eating the empanadas ? When I asked the waitress why we cannot order as well she tells me that this couple ordered a while in advance 😐 I am confused because in a restaurant don’t you order the food from the menu you provide to them, why do I need to order an appetizer in advance ???? Ok, pass….Then we ordered two ducks and even they were overcooked and I could barely chew what was on my plate. I didnt even asked them to change the dish as we waited over 30 minutes for the first one. Then finally dessert time and I am now praying this will go well ! And I was wrong again… as it was my birthday and we specifically asked them in person and wrote in our reservation to add a candle at the end of our dinner and guess what they didn’t even do that! The dessert came with no candle at all. Whoever is managing this place, please help the staff do a better job as this was the most disastrous dinner I had in the longest time !!! I do not recommend this place for anyone to go to and waste their time and money....

Avoid!! Many better options in Narbonne. We went there in May 2024. The waiters were probably the worst in Narbonne. The wine menu was fake. They didn’t have most of the wine on the wine list. When the waiter finally brought out something they had, he wouldn’t even pour the wine. He just opened it and slammed it on the table and asked us to pour ourselves. My partner (who spoke French) told me that he made some pretty mean comments. We waited for at least an hour if not more for the food after we ordered. Food was mediocre at best. It was Instagram perfect, but that’s it. Everything else was not worth the price they charged. The couple behind us were complaining too, and they left early. When French workers gave you attitude for no reason, it’s the worst kinda life experience you could have. It was supposed to be our family celebration. I was pretty angry when I left. Summery: Bad and way overpriced.

At first they brought us a “treat from the kitchen”. Churros with squid ink to make them black, with fish eggs on top, served on charcoal. There was no way to understand this dish and it was bad. Just one expensive way of getting rid of day-old Churros I guess. The starters were okay, but not worth the price. Finally, the mains were a disaster. It was the first time in my life that I put a peace of food in my mouth and my stomach started hurting right away, I cannot come up with a different word than disgusting to describe it. My wife ordered grilled cabbage but got coliflower instead. And according to the menu, they would serve the mains with one of three side dishes which they never asked us to choose and they brought the dishes...
