The Copenhagen coffee Lab in Nice is located nicely on Rue de France, where there is always an interesting mix of people passing by. It has a terrasse and big windows to look outside. There are many things that I really like about it. I use this place to read and write on my laptop and I am commenting based on my perspective in doing so. Let’s talk about what is not perfect first. There are only two things which could be improved. Number one is the tables. They are made of a metal which oxidates over time and the patina isn't brushed off by a simple cleaning with a wet towel. They would need a try towel polish occasionally. So, I use to give them a rub with a paper towel before I place my stuff on them. That way my arms don't smell like metal afterwords and my paperwork and other materials don’t get that greenish black stain on them. Other then that day offer enough space for one person to put their stuff. If you are two people coming you might want to work side by side on two tables though. The second thing is the music installation. Sadly, the speakers are installed above the spaces to sit down and enjoy or work. They aren't however installed above the areas where clients would walk or wait for their stuff and not above the space where the service team is preparing the delicious coffee and other stuff. Consequently, the music is creating a nice ambience there but is too loud in the workspaces. So, if you come for working you shouldn’t be sensitive to that or bring noise cancelling like I do. This is a little bit sad to me because it would be an easy fix to make the place outstanding. Apart from that I only have more positive things to say about coffee lab. Like for example, that they have the best coffee I have tasted in my one Year in Nice. This is because they don't confuse intensity with a fine flavor, which is what many other coffee stores and Restaurants in Nice seem to do. I overheard other clients talking about the surprisingly good taste. Also, the service team is kind and professional and speaks a good English as well which are all three things that are exceptional and...
Read moreWhere do I start.... Service is terrible, 3 staff behind the till, one making a coffee, another eating their sandwich and the third one just actively ignoring customers. 3 minutes in I got attention and managed to place my order. No table service, they scream everyone's order, instead of bringing it 3 meters further. Quality - worst matcha I've ever had. Left a full glass after one sip. I hate food waste but it was simply impossible to drink. Atmosphere - they don't put the dishes in the dishwasher. Sounds like they throw them, the constant noise is unbearable. Tables are dirty and staff doesn't seem to care (a gentleman next to us left and he had 5!!! coffee cups on his table; obviously he's been there for a while but for staff not to take them in during ALL THAT TIME is appalling). And the smell... I left the café after 20 minutes and my hair, as well as all my clothes stank of bacon... If you want to grab a coffee before work meeting, unless it's butchers you do business with, avoid this place! Prices - very overpriced, especially in comparison to other...
Read moreOn July 28 I came to order two coffee to go, the blonde girl took my order and she was very nice. Then another girl with brown hair gave me the two coffee in glass cups, when I kindly say that I ordered them to go she became very MEAN, DISRESPECTFUL and ROLLED HER EYES. For some reason she started to show me different receipts with a VERY!!! rude attitude and nasty tone. After all she pour coffee into to go cups and the coffee was spilled all over and again she kept look at me with VERY DISRESPECTFUL way. I've been to this place multiple times in different locations for many years because coffee is good but I never experienced such a rude attitude with no reason. Definitely not the kind of customer experience you'd expect—or deserve in famous...
