Gago France — Restaurant in Nice

The place was awful I came in to order and the lady didn't even give me the menu, right at the door she just asked what kind of pancakes. When I ordered they asked me if I wanted to wait outside I asked can I sit inside since it's 35 degrees outside and I saw that they have free places to sit which were not reserved. They then told me to sit wherever I would like, so I sat and waited after which they asked me to leave that table because they have people that need to be seated (there were still 3 tables free beside the one I was sitting). When I finally got my order I got a pancake that is smaller than my palm which is a steal for the price they offer. I also got one scoop of ice cream with my pancake which melted within 2 minutes because it wasn't in the special container as it's supposed to be. Plus they gave me bits and pieces of nutella. Plus the staff barely understood english and even though I asked for 2 plastic forks ofc I got 1. Do not go to this place if you want to be treated with respect and get a fair order...

One star for the food ! Which we could not enjoy cause we order much and we asked for a bigger table but even if the restaurant was completely empty they didn’t let us change ! We asked kindly 3 times ! I mean really now ? We came inside with a small dog and asked if it’s possible „the answer was : she looked to us and said if you keep him next to you ok ! Of course after us came 2 people and was allowed to sit in big table. ! I mean if the problem was our little Frenchie dog , don’t even let us in ! Oh and in the end cause they saw we really don’t have place they bring us a small table , which is to sit and not to eat ! Normally we should not even pay ! But ok we know now for the next time ! Ps: we are owners of two restaurants as well and we could never imagine such a service ! Especially the girl with the dark hair didn’t even said hallo ! « Restaurant » qui laisse à désirer. Nous sommes arrivés, l’établissement était vide et le serveur nous a mentionné que les tables du fond étaient toutes réservés, et qu’il ne pouvait pas nous placer sur celles ci. 5mins après, 3 personnes qui arrivent SANS RÉSERVATION, ont étaient placés sur ces mêmes tables. Un peu moyen niveau service clientèle. Ensuite, attente longue pour des fajitas où ce n’est, rappelons le, simplement que de l'assemblage. Nous avons ensuite encore attendu bien 30mins pour avoir nos desserts, desserts sûrement pas fait maison au vue du goût de ceux la. Ça ne demandait donc pas autant d’attente. Le pain perdu était un bloc de béton, recouvert entièrement de spéculos de toute forme afin de cacher le goût de cette brioche très fade. Ça ne vaut pas du tout, mais pas du tout les 14€ de ce pain perdu !!! Le « big brownie », n’en parlons même pas, ni le goût ni la texture d’un brownie. Et « big » ? Je cherche encore à comprendre, lorsque nous avons dans l’assiette un simple carré, ce qui ne vaut, également pas les 13€ de ce brownie. De plus, je trouve du coup les prix assez cher pour ce que c’est. Nous sommes ressorti avec une addition à 70€ pour des fajitas et un dessert chacun, le tout étant très très très très moyen au goût !! c'est le prix d’un vrai restaurant, ce qui n’est pas le cas de cette établissement qui aurait plus l’âme d’un café.
