Terra Madre — Restaurant in Nice

Disappointing. I ordered a Nicoise salad and it first arrived with no tuna on it. I was a little dismayed at how quickly it returned with tuna on it which I’m sure was from a can (not something I’m adverse to as I do this at home, but not what’s expected from a restaurant). The salad was a bit too dry to get much eating from and I abandoned it.

My wife’s chicken burger was just terrible. It was dry and over cooked, the bun clearly stale and toasted to cover over that, but this causes it to become flaky and it just disintegrated. There was cheese in it but this had no flavour and we suspect it wasn’t a proper cut of cheese and reminded us of presliced cheese bought in a supermarket, and no salad was put in. We refused to pay for this and left fairly promptly.

I was told that they’d been serving chicken burgers all day and this was the first complaint, but I could see a few tables down a very burnt and dry one being eaten, agreeably with no fuss but that is their choice.

I noticed food being sent back at different tables round about us and we weren’t there more than about half an hour. Cold muscles at one table (returned fairly promptly afterward, which is worrying) and a few pizzas. Pizzas! How do you get that wrong.

It was last day of Nice trip. Was tough day walk a lot so wanted to hv just quick simple thing and rest. This restaurant located on the way of accommodation. We ordered just burger and crepe.. Firstly the beverage glass was so dirty. I asked to change but it came same glass. It should change into new glass. Not just wipe inside and bring same one again. And the food….the worse ever… Seriously the owner of restaurant never tried her own food??? I think this restaurant aim for just look alike. Looks like a burger or crepe. The taste doesn’t exist. Bread, meat, veggie things,, everything cheap ingredients. Doesn’t exist cheese or sauce. But price is just same as other good ones. This is awful. Dear guys, believe me pls try other better ones. Save your money n save your mood. Waiters, owner, no one friendly. Pls visit other place if you don’t want to screw up your feeling. It...

Location: Just a few minutes away from the beach. Walking distance to train stations and buses. Perfect if you're on a stroll by the beach looking for a place to eat and drink. Next to Hyatt Hotel too.

Food: Really good food. Varieties to choose from. If you like mussels, they have a bucket of it with different sides, salad or fries. Seaffod, burger, pizza, you name it. Went back twice on the same day coz food and drinks was amazing.

Staff: Super friendly and helpful. They even give you suggestions if you need any, one which to choose from and personal favourite. Got my personal favourite food and ordered the same twice.. They gave good service and that's what you really need.

Good food, good staff, good location. And free WiFi too for all the selfies and food snaps.
