Service: Where do I even start? We were greeted by the most unfriendly server imaginable. I asked for a dish to be adjusted because of allergies, and he didn’t even acknowledge it—just moved straight on to the next person. He barely spoke to us, hardly acknowledged we were there, and at one point nearly let our wine bottle slide off the table. Every item was thrown down carelessly rather than placed properly. To be fair, the other servers were kind and attentive, but the main host’s attitude overshadowed everything and turned the whole experience sour.

Food: Uninspired and completely lacking in flavor. Far from innovative in any sense. Pro tip: don’t order both the carpaccio and the salmon, unless you enjoy eating the same dish twice. The salmon with gel tasted like nothing, the carpaccio with hummus was an odd (and bad) choice, and the dessert left us feeling unpleasant. The only saving grace was the meat, which was decent. On top of that, if you look closely at the plates, every dish is basically recycled—the same greens, the same sides, the same presentation. It all blurs together, and not in a good way.

Atmosphere: If you manage to get a table in the furthest outdoor section, it’s fine. But sit closer to the restaurant and you’ll be blinded by an overhead light blasting straight at you and your fellow diners. Not exactly cozy.

Conclusion: Sure, €39 for three courses doesn’t sound like much—but now we know why it’s so cheap. My dinner guests and I left feeling empty inside. Save your time, money, and taste buds. It’s...

I seriously cannot understand how this place got its 4.5 rating.. admittedly, the staff is quite nice, but that's pretty much everything that's good about this place. The table was wobbly and the menu is rather bland. We asked for some water and they didn't assume we wanted tap water, as it's the case everywhere in France, but they kept insisting on whether we wanted still or sparkling water, a.k.a. buy water. In the end, we insisted and got our tap water. The food was so underwhelming that I find it impossible to understand how some people are saying it was the best food they have had...the calamari were not meaty enough, it felt like eating just the crust, which in itself was not golden and crispy, but rather soft, and were not salty enough either. The 'salad' was just some ruccola thrown on the plate. The fries tasted as if 50 more kilos of fries had been fried in the same oil. The mayo came in sachets, so not homemade. Overall, a really disappointing experience for the...

2025 Then it was summer vacation, and the restaurant was definitely worth a visit during our return visit to Menton. The quality of the food is top class, the restaurant is wonderfully located in a side street, with the sweetest staff ever. Don't miss this gem when you visit Menton, or travel there to visit the restaurant. Remember to book a table well in advance!

2024 We have just started a 1-week holiday in Menton, and have already visited the restaurant 2 times 😊. Once again, we would recommend that you visit this place! The restaurant now also serves wine, beer and alcohol. Remember to book a table, because the restaurant has become very popular.

2023 The visit to the restaurant a year later turned out to be the same great experience. To be recognized as a guest, and then receive a warm welcome, was a lovely experience. The food was exactly as delicious and tasty as last time, and the staff were super nice and provided another present experience. The place is just top...

We decided to check this restaurant since it was Michelin guide suggested. Chef is from Japan and , in our opinion, was trying too hard to blend French and Japanese cuisine together. Unfortunately, everything that our waiter suggested to us we did not like. It seemed like trying too hard to impress visually but did not impress my tastebuds. However, the items from the usual menu were very good. Duck was impressive and very different ,well prepared, scallops were so velvety and delicious. Unfortunately, we picked Macho tea tiramisu ( from our waiter suggestion) and it was not good in our opinion. I have to say, that lots of people around us finished the dishes completely. That is the reason I have 4 stars. But if you are looking for French or Italian food, I would pick another place. Servers were not trained properly, most of them just started there and were pretty new to the whole fine dining experience.

Unfortunately, the restaurant did not live up to expectations. All the desserts were very similar, despite the variety on the menu. Most of them consisted of ice cream and fruit, with the ice cream tasting store-bought and lacking any real flavor. There was no sense of French charm or refinement that I was hoping for. Another downside was that dishes could only be ordered as part of a set, with no option to choose items individually — which felt limiting. The service also left much to be desired: the waiter was inattentive, rushed us through the order, and didn’t bother to explain anything from the menu. As for the main course, the duck was quite tough and disappointing. The only thing I genuinely enjoyed was the bread — it was fresh and tasty. The interior didn’t match the concept either. The tables and chairs felt mismatched and took away from the overall atmosphere. Overall, this place might work for a quick bite, but it definitely doesn’t deliver a real French dining experience.
