Le Taj — Restaurant in Nice

Even by Indian standards the food was very authentic and tasty It was really appreciable how the flavors had the perfect blend of spices.

We order a vareity of dishes. The kofta curry, veg biryani,dal tadka, rice and types of naaan. Dont miss the "cheese naan", I repeat. Don't miss it. The food exceed our expectation considering the location of the restaurant. Th daal tadka was not up the standards but was okay. Everything else tasted really great. Best part, we asked for more spicy food and we were delivered what we wanted.

Th restaurant had a beautiful interior and ambiance was nice.

Coming to prices: the prices are very well placed and are not costly at all. Every euro was worth the taste. For us it costed around 18-22 euro per person.(no drinks...

The ambience is substandard. The food was barely average. I ordered paneer and it wasn’t even remotely paneer. They’re clearly lying when they say they’re serving paneer.

Also, the servers were very very rude!! Extremely I’d say. Not visiting the place again. I do not appreciate the server’s attitude especially when he is serving food, reflects very poorly on the ethos.

The wait time was long and I was allotted a very bad seat. Every time I get up, It’s got my head in some decor. Also, I must mention the lack of vegetarian options and variety for an Indian . I don’t think I’m ever visiting and I recommend others to try another...

A huge disappointment for the price we paid…..The taste of the chicken biryiani was hidden by way too much coriander, the whole dish was tasteless. I had chicken koorma & asked for it to be spicier….Didnt happen & a very small portion, which is not usual with indian restaurants…. The cheese naan were very small, too cooked & not filled enough. We also had 2 meat samosa which were ok but not good enough to make up for the rest of the disappointing dishes. I will never order from them again & do not recommend...
