The Good Mood Café — Restaurant in Nice

This was the worst restaurant I have ever been to my life. After a morning at the beach, my boyfriend and I were starving. This restaurant, The Good Mood cafe was the only thing we can find that is open to sit down at, and near enough to our location. We both ordered salmon tartare. But what we received was a salmon "tartare" that was fully cooked. I would have let this slide if they had given us pieces of edible cooked salmon, but what they gave us was not edible. It was the worst tasting fish I have eve tasted, seasoned by tons of parsley, I assume to try and cover up the taste. My boyfriend and I felt sick and we agreed after one bite to try to ask if we could order something else to share instead. Now for the worst part, that I still to this day cannot believe happened to us: we ask the waitress to order a second meal to share between us. A disclaimer, we didn't ask for a replacement of the dish, we were fully ready to pay because we were starving at this point. She sees we aren't touching the dish they brought us and asks about it. We say that we don't appreciate the cookedness of our tartare nor the agressive seasoning. Then she literally starts berating us and arguing with us that that is how tartare is supposed to be served and that we just don't understand french cuisine (we are francophone, but not naive french). After berating us for a few minutes, we decided not to order anything else from here and just go find anything else nearby. This was the worst restaurant experience by far in both of our lives. I strongly recommend to everyone to never step foot...

Avoid. More like the 'Bad Mood Cafe' , if I could leave a 0 star review i would have they don't deserve even the single star showed here.

Quick summary as a business that sells coffee, denying to sell coffee to paying customers is unacceptable and this business should close down for their bad manners.

After arriving at their establishment we waited for 10 minutes before a lady which spoke to us in English decided to pay attention and show us an available table. We then waited for more than 10minutes and a second older lady appeared to whom we asked for menu's, which she replied and turned the other way immediately although we wanted to order coffee, so my partner goes to her and asks for the coffees we wanted and she is greeted to a: 'you first have to have lunch and then you can order coffee' the time was 13:05 and our plan was to have lunch after our coffee. Seeing what happened as made me infuriated but being hungry and wanting my coffee I decided to give them a second chance and wait for our order to be taken which surprise surprise it didn't happened, prompting my partner to head towards the indoors and order to be greeted with a...

I had the worst tartare of my entire life. The meat wasn't fresh and was drenched in water without any taste. And looked very unsanitary. I told them it was weird and they first said ' it's blood " then every single one of the staff came one by one trying to argue with me saying

" it's the seasoning because we do proper tartare " and proceeded to list the ingredients of tartare but they even forgot the egg.

Then they took my plate without even offering any alternative or redo it properly. And proceeded to just ignore us.

They did insult us while talking together thinking we didn't hear.

When we asked for the bill, they tried to charge it while they actually removed the whole plate.

After a few minutes of just trying the dish I already feel like my stomach will get upset

Also they were not welcoming at first and didn't even bother say bonjour. Owner and manager looked like they are 24/7 angry at life
