李子坝梁山鸡（老店）ChongQing Chicken Pot — Restaurant in Paris

Full disclaimer: I can speak Chinese, and this definitely helped my experience.

We stopped by this restaurant in the middle of a rainy afternoon after wandering the streets looking for a tea shop, but finding all of them packed. As Americans who didn't speak French, we were able to overcome this language barrier by speaking Chinese. We only intended on ordering a few small plates due to an already-made dinner reservation, but we got some tea to go along with our food. The hostess was extremely accommodating and kind to us. She gave us recommendations on what to order based on food from the chef's hometown, and we were absolutely wowed by it. I'm not quite sure what the name is in English or French, but it was essentially pork ribs cooked three different ways. If you're interested, maybe try showing the picture...

I strongly advise going with a Chinese person as the menu has an entire page written only in Chinese of delicious things. Our group of 6 was able to try many dishes. Everything was fantastic: Cold noodles, tiger salad, chicken gizzard served in clay pot, twice-cooked pork belly with preserved (century) duck egg, pork ribs with yam and sticky rice, water-cooked beef. I especially loved their chongqing lazi chicken, perfectly crispy with peanuts. Already planning my next visit there!

Contrary to other's reviews, we found the manager and staff to be kind. They were super busy though and it would make a big difference if they have one more server. But if you can be patient you will definitely...

extremely poor service. We accept to return the table before 8pm when we arrived at 6.15pm. But then there's customers without booking waiting for table outside at 7pm, once we put down the chopsticks the cashier(or boss?) is yelling to us and asking us come to counter for billing even my dad haven't finish his drink. Don't you know what hospitality industry is? I can understand you would like to server more table and earn more money, but paying more than euro70 for a dinner less than one hour with extremely bad service didnt make any sense. Would...
