Hanwoo Haussmann – Korean BBQ for a Broader Palate As someone from Asia who truly enjoys Korean food and eats it often—both at home country and in Korea—I was naturally drawn to Hanwoo Haussmann by the name. While real Hanwoo beef isn’t served here (understandably, since authentic Hanwoo is only available in Korea), the name still sets a clear Korean theme. The overall experience feels like Korean BBQ adapted for international diners. The flavors are milder, and the menu is streamlined—no kimchi stew or ramyeon here. Instead, it focuses on grilled meats like beef, pork, and chicken, presented in a way that’s easy to enjoy even if you’re new to Korean cuisine. The fried chicken was actually quite good, and the grilled meats are satisfying, though not heavily seasoned. If you’re craving deep, spicy, and bold Korean flavors, this might not be the place. But if you’re after a Korean BBQ experience in Paris that’s more approachable and less intense, it works well.

Prices too high for what you get. Tteokbokki with cheese 🧀 11€ while it’s simple emmental cheese sauce. My criticism comes from places that have better taste and definitely crazy better prices. Menu formula got 14€ was okay. Plain rice a little bit of kimchi of different kinds and boiling duck. Good taste but again. Nothing crazy. In my opinion, if you’re there, go for a drink or a menu. Everything else is 20+ Eur for any meal that to me looks average. Granted that I’m a little more critical that with other restaurants but if I can make some dishes better and cheaper than I simply can’t go above 3 stars. Especially I was baffled by Evian water which cost 6.50EUR for 1L. Well that was a joke. You go across the street and buy it for 2 EUR max. So I’m sorry but not impressed with prices considering the quality and taste. -1 star for our friend who ordered food and waited way too long. Had to literally ask twice for her meal. Other that that nice cozy place.

Wow! Wow! Wow! It’s just simply the best! We are English speakers and tried our best with French and the staff and waiters all spoke English to us, we could also hear a lot of other customers speaking English, the food is amazing, and I loved cooking the barbecue yourself at the table, we were even given a English menu, we liked this place so much we came back the next night and everyone was really happy to see us! Everyone said hello and asked how we and are day was! One waiter even chased us up the street when my partner forgot his wallet, the food is amazing really fresh and tasty as well as the vegetables and rice, ( unlimited by the way ) will be recommending this to friends when they visit Paris and il definitely be back next time I’m in town, big shout out to Imani I think her name was, go try this place you won’t regret it!

Pathetic, wouldn't even serve us properly. We had a confirmed reservation, they told us we had to leave in 1 hour to seat another guest before we even sat down. We had to ask for every single item we wanted multiple times with multiple different servers/hosts/workers before we got what we needed. They didn't tell, show, demonstrate, what we needed to do to use the cooking station for us. We had to ask how to turn it on, if we are to cook for our selves (Some korean bbq allows, some dont), we had to ask for utensils, we had to ask for napkins, we had to ask 3 times for where our ordered food is, we had to ask for the check from 4 different people before we just stood up walked over to the host counter and demanded we be given the bill so we can just leave. Would rate negative stars for servers if we could. Food is fine, we cooked it all our selves and we wanted to ask for the food cooking tray to be switched as we cooked beef first, and wanted to replace it for the next order of chicken but we knew it would be a waste of time to ask them and wait for it. the cooking stove air vent didnt really work so all the smoke went everywhere and they kept coming by to fiddle with it while we were eating, didnt even ask us to stop or step back to do it, just leaned over our food and drinks and just started to mess with it. Thanks and no thanks....

Reserved a table on the basis of all the raving comments I've read but left rather disappointed.

The serving crew was friendly but seems to be very conscious of the "eye signals or body language" of the Korean gentlemen, whom I believe is the supervisor, they were quick to sweep any dishes off your table and this can occur very frequently during the whole duration while you're eating. It becomes a very disruptive and annoying dining experience.

I went in with the expectations of good (not awesome) food, looking at its price level, but the quality was mediocre at best. 5-stars ratings are most likely from the local folks who have not ventured into Asia or S. Korea itself.

Banchan variety isn't great and kept only to the bare basics

Pork belly & calamar are most likely frozen prior

what really kills me is the quality of their rice; this is the first criteria to determine if a restaurant is really good or not if rice is the staple food of that country, the rice was cooked with too much water; bits clump together and not the fluffiness and "defined grain" texture every well cooked rice...

A Truly Disastrous Dining Experience

This was, without exaggeration, one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had in Paris. The restaurant was clearly and severely understaffed, and the service bordered on chaotic. If a restaurant cannot accommodate guests properly, it should simply not accept more reservations.

We waited over 45 minutes just for drinks, and over 1 hour and 20 minutes for a Korean BBQ platter—which, to be clear, consists of raw ingredients you cook yourself at the table. There was no excuse for such a delay.

The staff appeared completely disoriented and overwhelmed, and it wasn’t just our table being neglected—multiple guests around us looked equally frustrated and ignored.

To make matters worse, the dining area had zero air circulation, making the whole experience physically uncomfortable on top of everything else.

Even a great BBQ wouldn’t have redeemed the evening—and sadly, this wasn’t even that. A truly disappointing and disheartening night. I won’t...
