It is such a pity that the checkout process was what made me give the hotel a low ranking overall. I had extended my stay twice, paid upfront as that is what’s required and asked for my invoice to be emailed to which I was told would be done at checkout.||||||I now regret that as I was asked to pay for an additional night at checkout to which I told the concierge all my nights had been booked and paid for upfront or extension would not have been possible. It wasn’t about the sum which I would have gladly paid but the principle and confusion.||||||Upon her insistence and my need to get to the airport she assured me my card was on file and would be debited, I reached out to the hotel seeking to understand the confusion and why I wasn’t asked to leave if I was overextending our agreed upon period. Unfortunately my initial email was responded to with no acknowledgement and an invoice attached which compelled me to warn anyone who may want to stay to ensure they charged correctly, however after writing my review the hotel Guest Relations manager Gloria, promptly responded back to my initial email and assured me not only was it an oversight on their part, they will ensure it doesn’t happen again to anyone else and would rectify the misunderstanding, hence I have updated both my rating and review.||||||Positives:||-Spacious Rooms||-Good service - outside of how they initially handle mistakes||-Vivien and Nerizia are phenomenal when on duty||-Great area with an incredible selection of restaurants||||Negatives:||-Not the best breakfast would opt for a local cafe||||||I believe in fair reviews that allow future clients to make an informed decision and I rarely write negative reviews as I understand the implication they hold for businesses however when I believe it can help others I will. Stayed with my friend for her birthday in a double room with balcony. The balcony was perfect and actually reasonably sized with tables and chairs to sit on. Room was a little small but honestly it was never an issue at all actually. The staff had left out some towel elephants and balloons with a note, how sweet! 🥺 All the staff we encountered were friendly, warm and had a super calming aura. Tea/coffee facilities in the room, a small fridge, flat screen TV with Netflix and you can also connect your phone to use Spotify etc. Bathroom had lots of towels, more than enough for two people, shower gel, soap little essentials and hair dryer. Double bed was so comfy and actually surprisingly big. There was a small wardrobe with hangers and safe. Air con unit to heat or cool down. USB chargers and sockets. Desk area, robes and they left champagne glasses we requested in room :) Hotel itself was beautifully decorated with a unique vibe- when we checked in the man at reception gave us a little tour and showed us a section in reception where they have free help yourself fruit, little cakes, coffee etc which was really cool. Amazing stay would definitely return! A few supermarkets or shops in the area, some cafes and restaurants close by, a REALLY good takeaway Pizza place close by and Italian restaurant over the road. Moulin Rouge super close by. Metro is not far, there is an information point inside to buy a metro day card and metro will take you to Eiffel Tower in roughly 18 minutes I think (don't quote me). Gare du Nord is not far from the hotel either, took us roughly about 20 minutes in an Uber ride with traffic.

Disliked · I would say the hotel itself is a little on the expensive side, even split between two people however, I think this is quite normal for Paris and of course a room...

I had a really pleasant experience at this hotel. They really knocked it out of the park with the interior design, giving it unique oriental features (ie. paper crane lights in the dining area, plush pearl seats, gold lining, and dark navy blue colours. I was initially really attracted to this hotel because of the aesthetic. The staff all spoke English at a good conversational level, making it easy for foreigner. Check in was exactly on the dot at 3pm so don’t expect early check ins unless you’ve previously established this with them. My room was the deluxe and it was the perfect size for a solo traveler like me. Nice plush bed, good sized shower and honestly the shower temperature was so hot- almost scolding if you don’t do a wide turn on the cold dial. Very clean and hygenic and the lighting was awesome if you want to take incredible selfies (haha). Comes with a mini fridge too if you want to bring in your own wine or drinks. Location wise: Very quiet and nice area, you won’t have issues with noise or homeless people. OMG I only regret not discovering this neighborhood sooner. Soo much ethnic diversity when it comes to food selection, and I’ve never experienced such respect and pleasantness from all the hospitality staff. All bright smiles and cheerful and all of them spoke English. It was kind of surreal especially given the stereotypes of Parisiens. I’ll definitely be back!!

Our second stay and both are excellent! My second stay and the level of hospitality provided is very high. Each person we met was very professional, polite and helpful, met all our expectations and above. Location is perfect, close to everything, roughly to say in between the very center and Montmarte on a hill, one of the bakeries right in front of the hotel, just like restaurants and bars and other entertainment facilities are very close. Bathrooms are spotless clean, beds comfortable, blackout curtains heavy and black 😁,street is silent and safe. “Buffet libre” and “free buffet” might be confusing and cause unpleasant surprise at the checkout for a guest, who doesn’t read his booking terms properly. Breakfast is for extra charge, just as it’s stated before booking.
