We wanted a simple cheese sandwich, or similar, to fill a small empty spot while leaving plenty of room for dinner. I was quick and close to our hotel. We love the history, décor, and that it is as Parisian as it gets. The sandwich was a bit sad, but perhaps it was done well and we didn't appreciate how it was made. We had to have a nice glass of wine to go with the sandwich and it didn't disappoint. It was a place to relax and get ready for the evening ahead of us.

Absolutely amazing!! Delicious food, very friendly staff, and wonderful atmosphere. I got the fish special and it was cooked to perfection and served with yummy bread. I’m an exchange student this semester, and while enjoying this meal and watching the Parisians walk by, it was the first time I truly felt I was in Paris. Merci!

We love this place! And visit every time we cruise on over to Saint Germain. It’s a cute family run place that you can sit and watch the Parisian world go by while eating a sumptuous croque monsieur and washing it down with a local red or 1664. Bonus is that Le Bon Marche is just around the corner. Win win

The loudest terrace I have ever encountered. And maybe it’s because we’re not locals and maybe it’s because I have an American accent but we had to wait for our beers. And then we had to wait for our bill asking three times. But mostly it was the crowd and it’s obnoxious snooty nature that set me off. If you are not part of that crowd, you really don’t belong there. You won’t be served well and you’ll go home with a headache from the noise just like I did. It’s funny we had walked by the bar so many times and always thought it be a good idea to go in. Guess we...

It’s been 4 years I live in Paris and i have never been treated so bad as today by the servers in this cafe. They had 0 respect for us, i hope it’s not because of we were foreigners… i wanted to get a hot drink and my friend something to eat and the server answered us very rudely “ ici soit vous prenez tout les deux à manger soit vous partez “. Plus he was super not polite with my friend who doesn’t speaks french..

Very sad that they cook good but service is so not polite. I have never felt so disrespectful in ...

An excellent wine bar. Tiny, but extremely good. Apart from an excellent wine-list and good choice of food it has it’s own story. As far as we understood there was a friend of the host who was the painter. And he sent postcards with his drawings (rather cartoons with the host of the place as a hero of these cartoons) to the host from wherever he traveled to. All these postcards are now on the walls of the place and this gives to Au Sauvignon an enormous amount of charm....
