Very beautiful restaurant!! We were a group of 8 people, 6 adults (couples) and 2 children, looking around for somewhere to dine around 10pm, and we found this boho romantic restaurant, with a girly vibe (very instagrammable). There is plenty of plastic flowers around, fake grass murals, with candles all around ( on a wax melted candlestick). The lights were dimmed to create an ambiance. There are a lot of food platters to share, as well as menu à la carte, it's a bit pricey for the quantity they serve but ,I think you pay for the experience and being in the center of Paris too. The beef tartare was good according to the people who chose, i chose a bavette, it was good but not wow, the meat a bit bland, its 180g and not as tender, it had caramelised onions, a small portion of fries and 3 or 4 arugula leafs . The desserts : we ordered creme brûlée which is a big portion, served on a skillet and it was fine, a chocolat biscuit which ganache which was also a big portion and a red fruits tiramisu which i found a bit bitter, it gives you that zesty sensation at the bottom of your tongue that makes you close your eyes, but the cream and the biscuit were fine. Due to the time we arrived, we couldn't take longer to order as the kitchen was about to close, so the waiter was a bit stressed and not very sympathetic, but we understood, the other waiter that came to bring the desserts was way more friendly and even played and talked with the kids. The toilets were the part where I didn't love at all, the decor is great, but it was smelly and dirty( also I give the benefit ou doubt because it was almost end of the day, near closing time, but the kids needed to go and I wasn't happy neither comfortable to let them use in those conditions). The terrace is also beautiful, a great spot for summer or more warmer days, I will definitely return once more in normal hours and during the day for a...
Read moreOne of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had. (For french, scroll down) Went with my family and partner — I ordered escargot: which was good and onion soup, my partner chose the kid’s menu (included drink, meal and dessert) because it was a good deal and he wasn’t too hungry. The waiter immediately made a fuss about it, going on about how “a grown man can’t eat a kid’s meal.” "He is not a 12 years old." We asked just to be clear, “So can he order it or not?” He paused, raised a finger dramatically, said “okay” and ran off.
We assumed the order was accepted. He brought the drinks, and we waited a long time. Eventually my food came — I ate. My partner still had nothing.
I asked about it once — he just said “okay” and walked away as fast as possible. Asked again — suddenly he tells us, eyes wided and shocked, that my partner can’t get the kid’s menu because he’s not a child. So what was that “okay” earlier for? He claimed he only meant the drinks. Which he didn't specify or let us know. And if so then why didn’t he ask what else we’d like instead of the kid's menu????? Instead, he let us sit and wait 40 minutes for food that was never coming — and acted like it was our fault.
Total clown behavior. Unacceptable. Totally unprofessional. The other waiters were normal — too bad we got stuck with the lunatic. Avoid this place unless they start hiring staff who actually communicate and act normal. And even the cutlery was dirty — every single piece. There were food stains, dust, and some kind of black gunk still stuck on them. Disgusting and unacceptable in any restaurant. Our waiter was a man in his 50s, wore glasses, and constantly tried to make jokes — but to us, he just seemed crazy.
Read moreI visited Café Cassette in Paris recently, and it was an unforgettable experience. Getting there was a bit challenging since the taxi driver didn’t accept cards which was a first for me in Paris, and didn’t speak or understand English. Thankfully, the café manager, Matthew, went above and beyond to help. Not only did he assist with the payment issue, but he also made me feel at ease during what could have been a stressful situation. His professionalism, calm demeanor, and genuine willingness to help were truly impressive. The cafe was so beautiful with flowers. The presentation of the food was impeccable, and you could tell great care had been taken in every detail.
The staff were kind and attentive, ensuring that we had everything we needed. Matthew, in particular, stood out, not just for his professionalism, but also for his warm hospitality. It’s rare to encounter someone so passionate and dedicated to making every customer’s experience exceptional.
I highly recommend Café Cassette for anyone visiting Paris. Whether you're looking for a quiet spot to relax or a place to enjoy a delicious meal, this café offers it all. I will definitely visit here again with my family! Merci...
