My wife & I had been at the Musee du Luxembourg, and then checked out an art flea market. We were hungry, but were sick of eating heavy French food after over a week in country. I liked the reviews I read about it being simple and friendly. The menu had what I was craving - a cheeseburger, fries, and a beer. My wife got a steak that she loved too! She was pregnant, so when we asked to change tables (so she could have a more comfortable seat) they were very accommodating. The food was served quick by French standards, and was exactly what we wanted. Of course, we ordered dessert. I ordered a cognac with mine. We ate and drank. When I asked for the check, the waiter poured me another dram of cognac - on the house. We ended up sitting there for another 20 minutes or so before casually strolling along St. Germain for the remainder of the evening. We had such a wonderful experience here. We would return in a minute....

Be careful - just be aware if you're on a budge - prices on the menu are not correct, you'll pay higher price when they give you l'addition. The restaurant is ok, with friendly but clealy not professional service.we ordered duck and steak, and specifically asked to replace the fries with sweet potato fries, they noted but then only gave us more fries lol After the meal, they gave us the menu so we could choose some desserts and when we were ready to order, they said actually none of the dessert is available for the moment because they're changing the menu (!?) So why bother giving us la carte? Just tell us what do you have tonight..lol anyway, they're changing the menu for the moment so basically the prices are not the same when you pay the bill...There were very little people in the restaurant on a Friday night. I was confused because it was a nice area but now I understand why... think twice before...

This place was really disappointing. The people need were really friendly and welcoming but the food really missed the mark.

We ordered the goat cheese appetizer which felt like a farm in my mouth. It was such a strong goat cheese, covered in herbs no less which didn't do much to balance the flavour.

For the mains, we ordered duck confit with potatoes and fish with veggies. Bland is the key word here. The food was not really seasoned. The sides had no seasoning. The duck tasted so dry (??!!) - it was like chewing greasy leather. Fish had no flavor.

As for the ambience of, there are some fake plants hanging on the sconces on the mirrorred walls. Otherwise the layout of the place was...

The food is not bad and the staff are supper nice and friendly. I would give it 2 or 3 stars if I didn't puke like no tomorrow last night and my diarrhea makes me couldn't get out my hotel room this morning. I think it is because the duck is super greasy and eating with that potato is like drinking the oil... I rarely have any stomach problem so I think if any one has weak stomach, they should skip this place. Also, comparing other restaurants in the hood, I notice that there are not that many people dining there in the evening. Maybe there is a reason for it?

One of the top three I would recommend for brunch/lunch in Paris. Duck confit is a must-try because of the super tender meat of duck and the potatoes roasted with duck oil. It is definitely my favourite!! Cheese sandwich with egg is also very tasty. All the food portions were just right. Online reservation is available, system easily used. Staff are all very welcoming and friendly. Take your time to have a drink and enjoy the vibe there while you’re waiting the kitchen to be ready for order
