We stayed here because they were listed in Rick Steves' travel guide and it was fantastic. The room (42) was very well appointed and decorated. While it's a bit on the small side, it was very functional and everything was just right. The important things to me in a hotel room are the counter space and the hot water. For a room this small, it was great to see lots of counter space in the bathroom! The hot water flowed immediately and with great flow rate. Taking a shower was a joy, unlike some of the other hotels, especially in the US where they restrict the water flow. The service is fantastic! Our flight from the US was delayed by a day (yes, a day) and we showed up in the morning. We emailed them the day before and since we already paid for the room, we checked in right away. When we showed up at the door, before we said anything, immediately asked if we were Mr. and Mrs. xxx and said she has been waiting for us. What a welcome! This is what you get when it's a small place run by good people! Since breakfast was still open when we arrived, we got the breakfast at the hotel (it's not included but not expensive). While the choices were limited, each item was of high quality. Everything was real dinnerware (nothing paper or plastic). The lady taking care of breakfast immediately gave us freshly squeezed orange juice when we sat down. There was cereal, croissant (real good, but then again, we are in Paris, right?), baguette, toast, cheese, ham, and raw egg that you can boil to your liking. The baguette and croissant were bakery quality.
The location is why we booked this hotel and it was absolutely great for sightseeing! It's real close to a few buses, very close (3 short blocks) from metro, fairly easy walking distance (15 min) to the major museums, lots of restaurants within a 5 min walk.

Read moreEverything about this hotel was fantastic. It's in a really nice neighbourhood which is safe and full of character. It's on a side street so is not noisy and only 3 minutes walk to Saint-Germain-des-Prés metro stop which is a major junction to all over Paris. ||Our room was very nice - nicely decorated and furnished, clean and comfortable with a beamed ceiling. It wasn't large but was quite normal by Parisian standards. The bedding was good and we had lights and sockets each side with a decent bedside table space.||The breakfast was great and in the most lovely location in the centre of the ground floor. There was a big glass wall onto a courtyard where you could have eaten out in nice weather. We were there in March so ate inside but it was like being outside as it was so light and airy. They have a lot of good guidebooks on the desk at the front (Lonely Planet, Dorling Kindersley Eyewitness, etc) in different languages which were really helpful to plan our trips out. The man on reception when we arrived was really helpful as he told us of two local restaurants which we went to and both were great. There are loads of restaurants within a minute or two walk. There was a really nice grocery store called Epic just 2 minutes walk away in the restaurant area which we used a lot.||We walked almost everywhere as the location of this hotel is so central. We only took the metro when we had walked so far we were a long way from the hotel and wanted to get back quickly. This will definitely be our hotel of choice each time we...
Read moreWe stayed at Hotel La Perle for 3 nights in July 2013. The accommodations were excellent and the staff, especially Lydia, were friendly, extremely helpful and spoke English very well.
We thought the lobby and breakfast room were beautifully decorated. Our room was a superior queen so we had adequate room to store our things . The room itself was charming with exposed beams and a modern bathroom. Everything was immaculate, updated and well kept. The room was facing the back and was quiet.
The breakfast buffet was delicious and fresh. The server was attentive. We were given a boxed breakfast when our departing flight was scheduled too early for breakfast. Lydia handled our airport transfer and all went smoothly.
The location of the hotel is the best. We have been to Paris many times and stayed in different quarters. This was by far the most convenient, near the metro and in an area that is alive with boutiques, excellent bars and restaurants and within minutes of several tourist destinations such as Jardin du Luxembourg, St. Germain des Pres, the Odeon theatre and Saint-Sulpice. It is close to the Latin Quarter which has the Pantheon, the Sorbonne and Musee de Cluny. It is a short walk to the Seine, Notre Dame de Paris, the Conciergerie and Sainte Chapelle.
We highly recommend Hotel la Perle. Our stay there was perfection.
Thanks to all the staff for their efforts in making our stay a wonderful one to be...
