We needed a break from traditional French food and Blueberry Maki Bar was such an awesome choice. A bit pricey for what you get overall, but you are in Paris. Make sure to make a reservation because this place is so good it gets booked fast. I usually would not recommend sushi in Europe....but Blueberry Maki Bar is a must try in Paris. Not only was every cut a fish super fresh, but the combinations of maki rolls were the stars of the show. The restaurant and sushi bar have a cool and comfortable decor, and you feel hip in this spot 🤪.
We had a sushi combo and a Shira shi bowl that were both fantastic. Classics with modern preparations that tasted great. We also had two Maki roles. One was a crab and tuna roll that had a spicy sauce and it was just good. The second roll was a white fish roll with shisho and truffles.....omg!!! This roll was out of control good with so many layers of flavor. The presentation was worthy of a Michelin star! If you are traveling in France and need some new flavors to eat I can't recommend Blueberry Maki enough.... Hope...

For it's refreshing in Paris to experience a comprehensively memorable gastronomical evening; where the chef delivers meticulous, delicious, unpretentious palate sensations, FRESH, elegant. Where the digits on the bill, are not solely justified by the menu (and everything else might as well be close to disastrous, as so often happens!) but by the deeply appreciated decent distance between tables, -allowing a certain privacy, the furniture, that actually allows one to lie back and enjoy comfortably the arrival of the generous-sized makis, the particularly odour-free ambiance (given it's a sushi bar!) and last but oh-so not least, the personnel. Warm, nicely balanced between friendly and professional, discreet and thoroughly menu-educated. And then there's Angelica; the human spice, the theatrical, witty touch who transformed our evening! Do try to ensure a table within her section, your courses will taste better....

Omakase: Which should be the centerpiece of the menu is unfortunately underwhelming and a subpar value for money. It tries to sell itself as a high end sushi-chef made course but falls short on all aspects save for the base quality of the ingredients. You could buy a sushi plater from the local kmart at a fifth of the price and have a similar experience
Desserts: the use of kurogoma sauce (ie black sesame) is interesting and definitely an experience to remember, desserts are not too sweet and combine a variety of experiences from which is excellent for the experienced palate. However the presence of ice mochi as a full item undermines the standing of the restaurant, something readily available at any asian supermarket and industrially...
