I visited later in the evening alongside my family. The food itself was worth 2-3 stars. My boar stew was too salty and my brother's entrecot (ordered medium-rare) was cooked so thoroughly it resembled a slab of cardboard with sauce on the side. All the other dishes were pretty average.
However... service was terrible. There were two other small groups at the restaurant so I'm not sure why we waited almost half an hour between our charcuterie board and our main courses. The waiter seemed confused about the order at some point. Once we finished our dinner and ordered the check, the waiter knocked over a half full glass of wine and spilled it all over the floor and pant legs of two of my group members. The waiter left wordlessly and came back with a single wet napkin (did he expect it to be shared lol?) a while after all the major cleaning had been done. No apologies from him. I wondered if the spillage was some sort of high level revenge for not having eaten the entrecardboard. Props to the staff if so. The food was not worth the price tag, the service much less so.
A sad representation of Corsican cuisine and hospitality. I would...
Read moreOutstanding meal, ambiance and service! On our last night of our 10 day stay in Paris we found, upon happenstance, this amazing and special place. I had the grilled octopus (tender, juicy and flavorful - large portion), my wife had Guinea fowl - she had never tried it and was blown away - we both had eggplant and shared a carafe of B by Maucaillou recommended by our server, Koceila. I asked for his name because he was such an amazing server, When we walked in we were the 1st people eating. His attentiveness and professionalism continued as he skillfully served many tables as the restaurant kept getting busier and busier. We finished our trip off with a dessert called Cafe Gourmond- delicious mont blanc ice cream ... all in all .. can't wait to return next year where this will hopefully be our 1st dinner after we arrive ... I wish we had taken some pictures...
Read moreI rarely leave any reviews. This restaurant deserves every star, my Parents came to visit me and of course I wanted every meal to be perfect for them. I am so glad we went here, the food was amazing, I got the octopus and my parents both got the two specials of the day. Both wines that were recommended to us were great pairings, the ambiance and music was also great. Above all, the service was a 10/10, our waitress was so kind and attentive, speaking only French with me and only English with my parents, she also brought out a digestif of limoncello free of charge at the end of our meal and offered to take our photo. I can’t wait to bring everyone who visits me in Paris to the restaurant. Word of advice: get the charcuterie and cheese board to start, the octopus for a meal, and the cafe gourmand as a...
