I went here because it was raining. My experience was a bit mixed to be honest. It would appear that the staff are looking for customers who are young, trendy and good-looking, and I didn't fit the bill. At one point the barman shook his head as he was serving me, a sure sign I was not wanted. But why? I was not causing trouble, I was a paying customer and I was not noticeably drunk. I did my best to order in French. An elderly couple sat down and five minutes later left because of the rule that you have to order at the bar. At all times they were completely ignored by the staff. On the plus side, I enjoyed the beers that I tried and the fried cheese sandwich I had was great. I cannot currently recommend this place because of agitated staff and 'atmosphere'. What a gem! We stopped in for a drink and a bite to eat since it was right by the flat we were renting for the week. We were expecting some okay beers and bar food. Boy were we pleasantly proved wrong! Nicely curated beer list, outstanding cocktails (I had the espresso martini) and whoa the food was so good. We ordered the chicken quesadilla and grilled cheese and as Americans expected the whatever/lackluster meal that would likely ensue with this order at home. Not the case. The quesadilla was more like grilled tacos and the chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned, with very little cheese which was a plus. The grilled cheese was cooked to perfection with lovely bread and a surprise of jalapeños inside....

Saw all of the positive reviews so thought I’d try it out. Upon arriving we were immediately met with a friendly, albeit intense person asking if we were there to watch the game. When I said no he seemed hesitant to seat us. I assured him we’d be gone before the game started. He sat us and I went to the bar to order. The woman behind the bar was more fixated on her phone than me, but eventually I was able to grab her attention and she took my order, but seemed annoyed to do so.
