C’est Comme À La Maison - CCALM — Restaurant in Paris

What a unique and incredible place Chef Matthieu has created with CCALM. We decided to try all three entrées to start and what an experience; the tuna mayo which consisted mainly of super fresh tuna and grapefruit mixed together in a gorgeous, simple serving was.. un-complicated in its flavor and yet SO delicious. Along with this, we had the watermelon salad with feta which was amazing and so flavourful. We finished the entrées off with the famous herrings which, being Danes ourselves we’ve had our fair share of at home, turned out to be some of the best herring we’d ever had. Perfect serving with delicious pickled onions, buttery potatoes and creme fraiche of some sort - amazing! For the main we both had the salad with gizzard - we both don’t eat pork which was the second option of the menu of the day - which also was incredible. The meat was super flavourful and so well balanced with the fresh leafy greens, cooked potatoes and the lentil side. Wine was super affordable and very delicious and had we not been so full, we would have opted for the creme brulée without hesitation. An absolute gem with a wonderful, warm and welcoming chef and owner - who was also our waiter for the evening, making it all very personal and perfectly informal and cozy - with what turned out to be a charming and inspiring background. CCALM is the best restaurant in all of paris in my opinion!!!!! The food is amazing and would recommend the sausage, the herring, and the melon and salami. There was a very kind lady that was very gentle and always had a smile on her face when serving us. She had great recommendations and we loved the food that she had told us was her favorite! She explained the menu carefully and slowly, making sure we hear everything and understand the menu so that we will order everything that we want to. She works very hard to make sure that we have the best time here at the restaurant. The chef was also a very kind and gentle man. He will smile at people and welcome them in when they are stepping inside. He also will wave at people outside, assuming that he knows many people. It’s a good habit to make friends in the neighborhood as well. The atmosphere was feeling good even when we first came in!!! It was very comfortable and cozy! C’est Comme à la Madison is truly a hidden gem in Paris! The moment you step inside, you’re welcomed into a cozy and warm atmosphere that makes you instantly feel at home. The space is intimate, full of charm, and perfect for both a relaxed lunch or a special dinner.

The food is absolutely delicious. Every dish bursts with flavor and feels carefully crafted with love and creativity. Chef Mathieu is not only incredibly talented but also very friendly, making the experience even more personal and memorable. And I can’t forget to mention Emma, who is wonderfully attentive and welcoming. Her kindness and professionalism really elevate the whole dining experience.

This has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in Paris, and I know I’ll be coming back again and again. Just a word of advice: don’t forget to make a reservation! The restaurant is small, and with such high demand for both lunch and dinner, tables go quickly.
