⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Classic Parisian Bistro Experience at Café Francoeur Café Francoeur is everything you’d hope for in a traditional French bistro—bustling, full of character, and perfectly located just a short walk from Sacré-Cœur and Château Rouge station. The food was fantastic. The bacon & cheese hamburgers and frites were incredible—rich, flavourful, and cooked to perfection with the middle part being pink. My husband’s pâté de campagne and my French onion soup were both delicious, made even better by the fresh, authentic bread served alongside. The service was a real highlight. One waiter, in particular, was incredibly kind and attentive—not just to us, but to an elderly local gentleman, helping him with his coat and out of the restaurant with such patience and care. That moment really stood out and lifted the whole experience. The only downside was that smoking was allowed in the covered outdoor area, and with the door left open, the inside filled with cigarette smoke, which wasn’t ideal while eating. Also, the bistro is tiny, so waiters have to squeeze between tables—but honestly, that’s part of the Parisian charm! Despite the smoke issue, the food, atmosphere, and exceptional service made this a truly memorable meal. Highly recommend Café Francoeur.

Food 3/5, Service 5/5! Possibly the nicest (therefore least Parisian) wait staff I've ever encountered in Paris! They're super tourist/English friendly, patient, and willing to help you out. The menu has English on it as well. The French onion soup was not bad but the onions could have used more time caramelizing, and the cheese could have been toasted longer. I also had a lamb "steak" thing which really was Dr Frankenstein's attempt at a roast because although it resembles a tidy medallion, it was actually strips of meat that was rolled up in another piece of meat. There were tender parts but overall it was quite gristlely and chewy. The flavor was quite nice but ruined by the difficult to eat meat.

This place is all about service. Waiters are beyond what I have seen in any other place. All waiters spoke english and spanish. Manager is so friendly there is no words to describe how cool and nice he was. Portions are generous and good quality food. We came for breakfast and then for dinner and it was really, really good in both occasions. Every cafe, restaurant and bistro should come here to watch, learn and enjoy the enviroment here. Come and enjoy it.
