I'm a Dali fan and was really excited to be able to see some of his works at the museum part. There were many works and sculptures and I could have spent all day just looking. I had no clue there was a Gallery where you could actually purchase his artwork. The staff was really friendly and I actually purchased a piece that I really liked. Unfortunately, this is where the positiveness ends and the review becomes one star. The item was slightly damaged in shipping and the Gallery was not friendly in trying to make the situation right. They offered some options and when I finally chose restoration that they offered and that was in the contract as a remedy that was required to be offered, they then pulled that option and said they'd no longer cover that fee. I even spoke to the manager on the phone who tried to insinuate that I could have damaged the artwork and did not want to use logic. I don't know if the French have a different view of customer service than other countries, but considering you can buy Dali artwork elsewhere including the Gallery in Barcelona, I'd stay clear of the Dali Paris Gallery at all costs. It's really a shame as the cost was minimal and it wouldn't have been a big issue for the Gallery as they had even offered that and were under contract to offer that, but I guess they can violate their own contract at whim?
Update as a response to the Gallery:
Once again, the Gallery is factually incorrect. The mediator said the Gallery still refused to pay for the restoration so it was out of her hands. At no point did she make a final decision as the Gallery still holds the responsibility of doing what is right and what the contract obligates. It's just sad they would treat their customers this way as, apparently by these reviews, I'm not the only one who has experienced this What makes it even more laughable was they offered a replacement of my original Dali piece with a print..yes, an unoriginal lithograph that has nowhere near the same value as my original piece. I guess the Gallery thinks their customers are ignorant of art and they can pull one over on them? Also, the fact they let this go to a mediator instead of standing by their contract says all you need to know about this Gallery. They most likely damaged the item in packing and are now trying to pass the burden...
Read moreIt is a private museum, so you will not find the more famous works of art here, despite everything, an interesting collection and worth seeing. Unfortunately, it only gives one star, because the behavior of the lady from the staff who sold the tickets was at least cheeky. At the very beginning, she stated that they do not accept the Paris Pass because it is not a public museum. We explained to you that we had a list of places we can visit for the price of Paris Pas. The Lady's reaction was astonishing. We heard "It is not public museum, good bye." We were just asked to leave. I downloaded the Paris Pas application to make sure that I and my partner did not mix up the address. We came back to the premises and showed you that this museum is included in the application for the Paris Pass. The lady got a sudden revelation. Nevertheless, the disgust of the insolence remained and we were not tempted to buy any painting. Of course we won't be going back there anymore.
Usłyszeliśmy „ It is not public museum, good bye.”
Read moreThis museum was far from peaceful we had such a horrible experience we had to leave within the first two minutes. There were two aggressive visitors who obviously didn’t like kids from the minute I walked in with my son they were watching him like a hawk and kept yelling at him. My child was petrified and I had to address the women. It took every cell inside me to restrain myself as I watched them Instill fear in my child and said he was touching everything I was with my child barely went near the art before the women were aggressively yelling they proceeded to go upstairs to tell the manager and he came down to say no touching allow d which we obviously knew. The strangers told me to control my child as if he was a beast. Not child friendly place and I walked out wanting to leave Paris. Please be aware Paris is not kid friendly and this...
