Am putting on a different lens (and taste buds) for this review. Not comparing the food here with the ones we get back in Asia….amd specifically, Bangkok. Had ordered the som tum and gai kard prow….which are, respectively, the papaya salad and the stir-fried chicken with rice. Taste-wise, they were not bad. Portion-wise, for me, I had to doggy-bag and have the remaining chicken and rice for another meal. Price-wise, it was affordable. If you are around St.Martin Canal and yearning for Asian, or Thai, you may consider giving this...

WARNING. The food shown in the website is nothing like the food served in the restaurant…I lived in Cambodia and visited Thailand many many times so I know Thai food… when I saw the photos I went with a lot of great expectations…finally an authentic Thai restaurant in France…only to be bitterly disappointed…. the Masaman curry was served in a tin bowl with 80% rice and a small tiny amount of curry….the pad thai was terrible…brown slushy noodles with dry tough chicken…tasteless and nothing like a PadThai…I would not recommend...

Came across this little restaurant while walking along the canal. I emerged 3 hours later, after numerous glasses of wine, fantastic authentic food and much laughter with chef Peï and her husband. The food: i particularly liked the beef salad and pad thai. The wine: bought 2 bottles of red. Great stuff. The company: this a true family restaurant. They're funny and kind in equal measure.

I really really recommend canal thai. Go...

Food was okay, but I felt the flavor was watered down. Additionally, the price for the dishes weren’t as reasonable as we’d have hoped for with what we received.I would say the food would’ve been worth it if the whole bowl was curry and there was a separate dish for rice. I also found the younger male waiter to be awkward and kind of rude more towards the end of our meal/when we were paying.

It’s a shame to call this restaurant Thai . The portions are very poor this is a child meal . The pad Thai was full of carrot I didn’t order carrots but shrimps pad Thai . If you don’t have a wok to do the pad Thai isn’t call it that way, as you see on the photo the shrimps were boiled appart . Expensive for a very low quality. I don’t recommend this restaurant
