Cantine La Planque — Restaurant in Paris

Prices are not too expensive (the geographic position of the place makes it hard to get any cheaper, expensive spot), but the prices are ok.

Decent choice of beer for a Parisian bar.

The only negative point to me is the food quality (I clearly haven't tried the actual restaurant food, only the mixed charcuterie/cheese plates), and it's not really fresh or from an actual butcher. I find it a bit pricy for the given quality. That's about the only negative thing I'd have to say about it.

Staff is friendly and the place is nice and cozy.

Also on a side note, it is not a really quiet place if that's what you're looking for....

It was my first time in a French restaurant and it was such a pleasant experience. My kids were very comfortable, and the servers were super friendly and gave them a warm welcome. The food was excellent. They have a kids set menu for 12 euros with multiple options, which include an entree, a side, a selection of juice and an ice cream. I had the duck confit, which was very tender and flavorful and just falling off the bone. Delicious! And the chocolate mousse is absolutely decadent. It is served as a rather large quantity but it was so yummy that the jar was clean by the end of it ! Very reasonable prices. Definitely...

I had a very pleasant lunch at La Planque with my family. The restaurant has a classical Parisian feel to it and is a nice place to spend time away from the more touristic areas of Paris. The restaurant has a large terrace giving adequate space from the passing traffic. The staff are very friendly and attentive - a distinguishing feature from most other restaurants in the city.
