Oh, the salmon tartare... so dreamy. Carmine Cafe is beautiful. This was our first and last dinner stop during our Paris vacation. There was unexpected comedic value when our waiter got a little snippy with my brother because, and I quote, "You tell me you're North American and you speak English, then you speak Spanish!" Apparently, you can't be a bilingual North American at Carmine Cafe, LOL. We appreciate that we got seated on two separate occasions without reservations. There aren't any bad seats at Carmine. On our second visit, my brother's burnt (black, crispy) lasagna was exchanged promptly. We were reassured that we didn't get charged for the burnt dish. LOL. Again, we had a couple of unexpected laughs there and we enjoyed the view and the food (when it wasn't burned). I want to tease them a little about that but they seemed a little overwhelmed by the dinner rush that particular evening. Would I go back? If I find myself in the 15th arrondissement again,...

I have gone to Carmilitos many times, staff has been great. But tonight we arrived at exactly 8:25 doors were locked people inside and staff standing around the counter and coffee machines. We knocked we were going to ask for something to go and when one of the girls started to come to the door the other one stopped and then the 3 egnore us. No coming to door to explain why they closed half hour early or nothing. It was rude. To egnore customers like they did. We were three people who will probably wont go back. Fyi we proceeded and went to Cafe Crystal and they had the same closing time 9pm and we were there at 8:45 and they served us np and allowed us to sit inside. There was no feeling of being rushed. When we offered to take it to go they said no dont worry about it please sit and enjoy your tea and coffees and deserts. We did and left at 9;05 I call that Good...

Initially a positive experience - polite waiter and varied menu. However, they got our order wrong (added mushrooms to a pizza and added egg insead of mushrooms to a galette). We didn't want to cause a fuss or massively delay our dinner so said we would just put up with the errors. However, on receiving the bill we discovered they'd actually charged for the incorrectly added item and had the audacity to refuse to remove it. This is despite the fact we didn't send back the incorrect pizza and galette, which would have cost them significantly more than the wasted item they incorrectly added. They were rude and borderline aggressive when I asked them to take off the item - sadly, a place in a tourist hotspot clearly feels no need to provide decent customer service. Would strongly recommend you avoid unless you enjoy receiving the wrong orders, being ripped off and...

Being a young couple on a budget, we chose here based on the prices being less for the location. It was nice enough, very quiet and more of a chilled, pub/bar vibe than a restaurant for an evening meal but that was our fault probably. The onion soup and garlic bread was honestly really tasty. The mains was pasta with mushrooms- there were only maybe 3 mushrooms. The chicken supreme was good apparently. Service was okay, not poor or rude as some reviews have said, just not overly friendly or polite. Was happy hour so we got cocktails for €6 which was good. Whole meal and drinks came to €70 which really wasn’t bad considering location and quality just maybe would’ve appreciated friendlier service and a bit better food for that price.

I walking down the streets of Paris, when I started getting hungry, so I stopped here. That Salmon-Avocado tartare was amazing! So good in fact, it upstaged my desert, which was great! The only downside, but I shan't dock a star for it, was the cappuccino. It was drowned in luke warm milk, so more of a latte. I don't know if it's a parisian thing, but all of the cappuccinos I've had were like that. Don't get me wrong, it was still good, just not as perfect as the tartare. Just writing about it is making me salivate. If I didn't live 5500km away, I'd come back next week.

Extremely disappointing experience. The staff was very, very rude from the moment we walked in. No welcomes, no hellos! I ordered a pizza (which was yummy tbh) and, when I asked for a take out, shockingly, they served it to me in aluminum foil, not even in a box — just because it was an hour before closing. When I asked why, they claimed they were “out of boxes,” but I could clearly see a whole stack of them . It felt like they just wanted us out quickly and didn’t care about basic customer service. Totally unacceptable behavior — I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!
